Who says you need more than 30 minutes for a total body workout? Here is my workout from this morning- 30 minutes of HIIT, Muscle and strength- all combined!! If you join the Weight Loss Challenge- starting on 9/18- you will have access (via email and Facebook) to these extra workouts weekly! Call Fitness Unlimited to sign-up 617-698-0260- Here's the workout:
1-TRX atomic push-up/ or any sort of push-up- 10-12 reps
2-stair sprint- 1min
3-walking lunge with goal post arms- weights come in to graze your head (above your ears)- elbows stay up the whole time- 6-10 lb weights- 15 reps
4-Weighted rope- slams 1 min/- or Boxing- 30 sec. upper cuts/30 sec jab cross- fast
5- Pull-ups (use either a band, the gravitron, or TRX back row)- 8-12 reps
6- sprints 45 sec
7- squats from knee's- hands behind head (with a weighted bag or weights in hands)- 8 reps-switch lead leg- 8 reps other leg leads
8- burpee's 30 seconds/mountain climbers- 30 sec
9- Plank- 1 arm row- 8-10lbs/ 10 reps each side
10- jump rope- 1 min high knees
11- Crunch up- at top - OH Tricep extension (8-10 lbs in each hand)
REPEAT!!

So proud of the girls in the first Weight Loss Challenge!! In 6 weeks- the average weight loss was 6.3 pounds and the average inches lost was 7.5!! You girls Rock!! The biggest weight loss was 10.8 pounds and the most inches lost was 19!!! AWESOME JOB girls!!! There is still room in the Saturday class- 9:30-10:30am if anyone wants to workout with these amazing women!!

The New session of The Weight Loss Challenge starts this week!! Thursdays are full- but there is room in the Sat 9:30-10:30am class- starts 3/1!! 6 weeks- and you will get all the tools that you need to successfully lose weight- whether its 5 pounds or 45 pounds! You will be meeting within a group with a dietician, given a workout schedule, given an eating plan and many other tools. The class is a 45 minute bootcamp style workout- followed by 15 minutes of strategizing with either a dietician or a trainer about weight loss. Even better?! You can win your money back if you lose the biggest percentage of weight- you win the cost of the session- $150, 2nd prize- 1 personal training session, 3rd prize a gift certificate to Fitness Unlimited!!

Info on the Turkey Trot- in Milton- Come one come all to this years 13th annual Turkey Trot. The trot is set for Thanksgiving morning at 8:00 a.m. This 5k trot starts and finishes at Turners Pond (central Ave side.) Please come and run or walk this very fun event. This years turkey trot is in memory of Theresa Singer Haley a resident of Milton who lost her life to cancer at the age of 35 and to all of those who have lost their life to this terrible disease. There is no sign up for this trot however donations are welcome. Cash or checks. Please make checks out to Dana Farber. Coffee, water and munchkins will be provided. Hope to see you there.
