We went to senoia for the points finale last night had the same issue with the car being on the rev limiter through hot laps and qualifying. After qualifying 12th we removed the gear and manually checked the ring ratio, and the ring ended up being a 4.86 but when I purchased this car earlier this year I was told it was a 4.11, glad we finally figured it out. Terrell Taylor let me borrow a gear to run last night so thank you to him and his crew. Started the feature, and we were way too free after making adjustments fighting tight (due to gear). Ripped the top for a while which I’ve never done. It was an absolute blast until 3 laps to go the car developed a severe vibration, I thought something in the power train let go. Turns out the leader lost a wheel cover and it jammed in between the rack and radiator busting my fan. No big deal we will be ready to race in a few weeks. Thanks to Dylan Stoerkel for putting up with me last night and changing gears for me. Anthony Mayo for the setup help and coaching we will be running good before long

Last night we took the new car out to Senoia Raceway to shake it down. In hot lap/qualifying I thought it was going to be a rough night, but I changed some stuff I was trying back to baseline, and the car really reacted to it in the feature. I had an absolute blast after not being in a car for 11 months. It was a real sense of relief after the stresses of putting this car together. I couldn’t have done it without Tommy Nale Dylan Stoerkel Anthony Mayo and my wife for putting up with me spending my afternoons, and evenings in the shop trying to finish this car Mattox

On Thursday at the conclusion of what was a good season I made a mistake. I drove in the corner a little harder than I had the past laps bottomed the car out and I spun in front of the cars behind me. The guy behind me had nowhere to go and barely any time to react to the situation so he hit the left front of my car pretty much full speed which has damaged my frame to the point it will either have to be clipped or I will have to buy another frame. It sucks that happened the last race of the year Anthony Mayo had just got me going in the right direction. It will take some time to figure out what the next step is, but I wanted to say thank you to Steve James

This Saturday was a true test to this team’s determination to race. We started off with a broken left rear shock before we even got the car off the jack stands. After we fixed the shock we fired it up to check everything out and the fuel pump was leaking at the block. Randy Nale got that knocked out for me. Finally got loaded up an hour late, and headed towards the track only to have a flat on the trailer 2 miles from the house. We changed the tire out on the side of 41, and finally got to the track. Unloaded and qualified 20th out of 27 due to the car bottoming out, made the adjustments for the feature. Ripped the bottom all the way to 11th, got pinched into the inside wall with 5 to go and lost two spots. Overall 13th we will take it after that weekend. On to a much needed break to recoup we will be back 8/5/23. Thank you to everyone who made this weekend happen. The car wouldn’t have made it to the track without you
