9u baseball team

We are in need of two players for this weekend in cleburne! It will be a Sunday only tournament. Due to rain it’s a 2GG to ensure all Games are played. 1st baseman who can play outfield and pitch, 2nd/SS who can play outfield and pitch would be preferred.

Will take utility players and pitchers.

Shout outs!

The list is long so I will make sure to let the boys know at practice how proud of them we are and what their accomplishments were! We lost to a tough 1 seed in the semi final round the boys fought hard all day and never gave up. The grit and determination shown all day yesterday was very fun to watch. The silly celebrations, the constant chatter to their teammates hyping them up and most importantly the memories we made and will share.

Thank you to our pickup players!

Emmitt played multiple positions for us and came in to pitch in some big spots. Made catches in the out field, recorded outs at first and got a couple punch outs.

Ro played anywhere and everywhere he was needed and never complained. He was a terror on the bases I can’t even count the stolen bases he had. Should be in handcuffs 🤣.

Bryson caught a deep fly to center and made a defensive gem at 2nd on a screaming low line drive. Turned it into an unassisted double play. Was on base consistently and stealing bags left and right.

Our pitching was dialed in over the weekend! Over 10 strike outs, around 8-10 pitcher made out on pop flys, liners back to the mound and weak ground balls. Being this was a first for 95% of the boys pitching this weekend it was pretty darn successful.
We were patient at the plate, took some to get on base and had some very timely hitting. Boys created a lot of mayhem on the bases this weekend accounting for 20 stolen bases.
There’s a lot to be proud of and still have things we need to clean up and work on. All in all a very good first tournament. Lost in a heart breaker today. Both teams fought their butts off. Very good close game.

Very, very proud of these boys and can’t wait to see how this season turns out. Hard work and motivation pay off. Keep grinding and we will do great things this fall!

Parents lastly thank you for getting these boys out to east tx and letting us be apart of their development and growth. Takes a tribe to make these things work! So again thank you!
