Unfortunately, after our wreck Friday night at Birch Run Speedway, we’ve made the difficult decision to officially call it a year for the #40 Harsen Motorsports team.
After spending so much of the season sidelined waiting on an engine, this definitely isn’t how we wanted our year to end. We fought hard to get ourselves back on the track, but after looking everything over, there is simply too much that needs to be repaired and replaced to safely make the next race.
We could rush it, throw everything back together and try to make it happen — but that’s not how we want to do things. There’s too much at stake to rush repairs and possibly overlook something that could cause another failure or put ourselves or another racer in danger.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported us through this season — especially through all the time we spent on the sidelines waiting for an engine. To our family, friends, sponsors, crew, fellow racers and everyone who checked in, offered a hand, shared our posts or cheered on the #40 — THANK YOU. Your support has meant more than you know.
It’s disappointing to have the season end this way, especially after everything it took just to get back on the track. But sometimes you have to know when it’s better to regroup and do things right rather than rush just to make one more race.
Our 2026 season may be over, but Harsen Motorsports isn’t going anywhere.
We’ll regroup. We’ll rebuild. And we’ll be back. 🏁
