From the league:

"It doesn't look good for Friday with 80% chance of storms. So we will take games indoor at TOCO indoor sports complex in Milford. We played here 2-3 times last year. I will have a schedule out today. Games will start at 6:00 with last game at 9:45. They do have a full bar and food that will be available. It's time to finish up the season. ThanksIf weather changes we will be outside at Miami Meadows. Thanks7:30 will be championship game for K-2 and 3-4. 8:15 will be championship game for 5-6 and 9:45 will be championship game for 7-8. Awards will be given out after each championship game. This is the best I can do without going out to 6/13."

We are in the playoffs!
(It's only a 4 team division)

Next Friday, June 6 we play the #1 seed (undefeated) Colts.

Last minute. But putting out notice. Practice and game today 5 then 6.

They added one make up game for next week for rain outs. So next week will be the last game.

Got word from the league we're all still planning to play tonight.

Again, can meet at 5 for a practice prior to 6pm game.

We'll be on field #3 playing against the Buckeyes tonight.

Its finally here. Weather isnt perfect but should be dry. Upper 40's for temperature. so dress accordingly.

Reminder: kids have to wear their uniforms/shorts with no pockets. Fine if they want to wear pants/leggings underneath or high socks to stay warm.
Ensure they have their mouthguards and flags.

We are meeting at 5 for a practice then game against the colts at 6pm on field #4.

*"Fields are open. I would have parents bring towels and extra clothes because the kids may get muddy. Also make sure all shirts are tucked in and they cut off any extra belt so we don't have 3 flags."*

Practice #1 in the books. I think we all look good in orange & blue! It was a little hectic as I didn't know what to expect in the beginning with the league and getting unifroms and didn't help I was about 5 minutes late. But, thanks to coach Jordan for collecting gear from the league and his help out there with the kids today.

4 out of 6 were able to make it today. We have the uniforms for Miles and Winnie when we all can get together again next week. We only had one get popped in the nose and shed tears, which was my own Son, Connor. He may be more of a runner than a receiver 😁

We'll meet at 5pm on Friday the 4th for a practice before our game.

I think we had a good time today. Definitely some things we can work on in practice. but, happy with all the kids cooperation and listening. They followed along with somewhat of a thrown together practice to evaluate skills. We worked on some agility, route running, throwing, and catching and pulling flags. We played "sharks and the minnows" we went over the "Gator chomp" and Gator jumping jacks..🐊

I promise/hope to be more organized next week as I get familiar with everyone and skill level.

Next week, to try and get game ready we'll go over offensive formations and plays further, emphasis on run plays, and defensive coverage/flag pulling.

If wanting to practice anything at home, flag pulling is something all the kids can work on. The best tip I've learned is aiming high where the flag meets the waist.

And or practicing handoffs and receiving hand offs and proper ways to hold the ball when running.

There is a football skills camp being held Sunday April 6th at Miami Meadows Park. There is a separate fee for this. But passing along in case anyone is interested

Our division is moving to 5v5 since the 4 teams in our division all have only 6-7 kids. This helps to have at least one sub and or if we have someone who can't make a game we will still have enough to play.
