⚡️ CHARGERS ROLL PAST OLD FORT! ⚡️

The Edison Lady Chargers picked up a big 6-0 victory over Old Fort Wednesday night, bringing their record to 2-2 on the season! 💙🧡

Edison took a 2-0 lead into halftime before really turning up the pressure in the second half. About midway through the half, the Chargers found another gear, increasing their effort and intensity and putting the Old Fort defense under constant pressure.

A great team effort and an important confidence boost as we continue to build this season! The Chargers will look to carry this momentum forward as league play begins September 10 at Perkins (7pm).

Tonight is also our EYS Girls Youth Night! Youth players will have a free entry to the game and they will be invited to participate with the team while they warm up.

I've also attached a game schedule that shows all of our home games. We are always looking for ball kids and would love to see our youth players at any of our games.

Chargers Show Strong Second-Half Response

The Edison girls soccer team fell to Ashland Crestview 7-2 Thursday evening, but showed plenty of fight in the second half.

After trailing 3-0 at halftime and falling behind 4-0 early in the second half, the Chargers responded with their strongest stretch of the match. Edison scored twice in quick succession to cut the deficit to 4-2, with Ellie Heater finding the back of the net off an assist from Kailyn Dickman before Ella Rogers added an unassisted goal.

The response gave the Chargers momentum and led to a competitive effort for much of the second half. While Crestview eventually pulled away with three late goals, Edison’s ability to respond after facing a four-goal deficit provided an important positive to build on.

Natalie Mees made six saves in goal for the Chargers.

Edison will look to carry that second-half energy into its next match when the Chargers host Old Fort on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. (Football Stadium).

The result wasn’t what the Chargers wanted, but the fight shown in the second half is something this group can build on moving forward. ⚡

⚡ A BIG BOUNCE-BACK FOR THE LADY CHARGERS! ⚡

After a tough loss in the season opener, Edison came out Tuesday night ready to respond — and they did just that with a 5-2 victory over Open Door Christian Academy.

The Chargers wasted no time, jumping out to a 2-0 lead and taking a 3-1 advantage into halftime. Edison continued to apply pressure in the second half, adding two more goals to put the game away.

The Lady Chargers showed tremendous improvement in the second half of their season opener against Elyria, falling 5-1.

After halftime, Edison battled hard and held the Lady Pioneers to just one goal while finding the back of the net themselves. Eleven minutes into the second half, Kailyn Dickman headed home a beautiful cross from Juliana Johnson to get the Chargers on the board.

The defensive effort was much stronger over the final 40 minutes, and Natalie Mees was outstanding in goal, making 19 saves.

The Chargers will look to build on that second-half effort when they return to action Tuesday, August 25, for their first home match against Open Door. ⚡️⚽️

The Edison High School Girls Soccer Program is excited to host our annual Youth Soccer Camp for boys and girls ages 8-14!

📅 **July 28-30**
⏰ **5:30 PM – 7:30 PM**
📍 **Bolt Field (Grass Game Field)**
💲 **$40 Registration Fee**
👕 Includes a camp t-shirt!

Participants will enjoy:
⚽ Skill development
⚽ Passing, dribbling, and shooting instruction
⚽ Fun games and competitions
⚽ A positive and energetic environment led by Edison High School coaches and players
