I’m lucky to now work in a space where the culture is amazing (shoutout ), but gym culture as a whole has a branding problem that makes it hard for a lot of people to want to approach. The people who need us most are alienated. I know because I talk to them all the time. My family, friends, strangers I talk to. I had the same discomfort until a friend started dragging me to the gym with her in my early 20’s. It was intimidating! I don’t know how to change that yet beyond one person at a time, but I want to.

I’ve been pretty absent from this space lately because I burned out on it (anyone relate?), but I’m trying a new thing where I show up and don’t try to make things polished— just post things I give a profound damn about.
I REALLY care about this. My hands-on job boils down to teaching people how to workout and helping them improve their body mechanics. And it’s important, really important, but none of that work matters for the women I train if they are stuck in the mire of body dysmorphia and a mindset of ā€œeat as few, and burn as many, calories as possibleā€. Restricting food intake over the course of one’s life leads to frailty, and we deserve better. The paradigm shift has to happen. We’re in pursuit of physical fortitude; Not thinness. My first facebook post! I think an introduction is in order ā—”Ģˆ

Hi, I’m Kimber. I’m a personal trainer, and the owner and founder of my training business, Move Freely Fitness Solutions.

Our bodies want to be strong and mobile. When we tend to them with intention and kindness, transformation happens naturally. My mission is to help people build strength that serves their real lives—carrying groceries with ease, playing with your kids (dogs, grandkids, etc.), moving through your days without physical limitation. I want to help you feel CONFIDENT, not just in how you look (though that tends to be a secondary benefit!) but in knowing that you have the physical fortitude to live the way you want to for as long as you’re here. I want you to know how GOOD it is supposed to feel to live in your body.

I really resonate with people who feel bristly towards typical gym culture. That has always been me šŸ˜… So believe me when I say: Neuro-complex adults, tired parents, women navigating hormonal changes, folks who for any reason simply have less capacity, and anyone who knows they need to make changes but have no clue where to start— you belong here.

Not that I don’t challenge my clients; far from it. You’ll stay at your growth edge, but my approach centers on sustainability over goal-crushing. For most, progress happens in waves, and every body deserves patience as they learn to feel at home in their skin again, maybe for the first time. We are learning new skills that will serve you for the rest of your life; not just trying to hit metrics. Skillful guidance; not force.

My availability is limited — Training is available weekdays 9:15am-2:30pm in an exclusive, semi-private SANCTUARY of a gym, Tribe Fitness Exclusive Training (where I am a proud affiliate coach).
