Middletown Little League families will be marching in the America 250th parade on Monday, 9/7/26!

Parade Details—
Date: Monday, September 7, 2026
Meet-Up Location: Macdonough School on Pease Ave
Meet-Up Time: 9:30 AM
Parade Start: 10:00 AM
IMPORTANT — PARENT SUPERVISION REQUIRED
Parents/guardians must march with and supervise their children throughout the parade. Do not drop your child off.
We’re looking forward to seeing our Little League players and families come together, show their Little League spirit, and proudly represent our community!

The Middlesex County America 250 Parade will be held in Middletown on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The community is invited to celebrate our history, traditions, and cultural legacy in a family-friendly event on Labor Day. This event will bring people together from throughout Middlesex County and beyond to continue to celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial. The parade will start 10:00am in Middletown’s North End (near Spring Street & Rome Avenue), proceeding south along Main Street, and will end at Middletown’s South Green (Union Park).

The parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to last approximately one hour. Mayor Gene Nocera of Middletown and First Selectman Michael Pelton of Portland will give remarks at the South Green at the conclusion of the parade, with presentation of the Mayor’s Award.

The community is invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the South Green after the parade. Food trucks will be parked at the South Green with refreshments available for purchase. Support local businesses and enjoy a community picnic after the parade as we continue to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Please join us to make this day memorable!

The Middletown–Portland America 250 Committee is a collaboration of The City of Middletown and the Town of Portland. The committee organized Semiquincentennial events commemorating America’s 250th anniversary, honoring Middlesex County, and highlighting the shared cross-river history of the City of Middletown and the Town of Portland, anchored by the timeless Connecticut River and symbolized by the iconic Arrigoni Bridge.

Sometimes the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story.

The 2026 Middletown 10U All-Stars’ tournament run came to an end Friday night, but this team gave our community so much to be proud of.

This season wasn’t just about wins and losses. It was about learning to play for each other, overcoming adversity, and growing as teammates. Every game, every practice, and every challenge helped shape this remarkable group of young athletes.

Thank you to our coaches for investing in these players, to our families for their unwavering support, and to everyone who came out to cheer them on throughout the tournament.

Hold your heads high, Middletown. The season may have ended, but what this team built together will last far longer than one game. You represented our community with heart, resilience, and sportsmanship, and that’s something worth celebrating.

We couldn’t be more proud. 💙⚾

💙⚾🥎 What a run it's been so far for our Middletown Little League All-Stars! 🥎⚾💙

Our 10U players have put in countless hours of practice, shown incredible determination, and competed with heart every step of the way. Their hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship have made our league proud, and it's been amazing to watch them grow throughout this tournament.

Today, July 9, our 10U Softball All-Stars take the field with a chance to advance to the State Championship! 6:00 PM at 10 Memorial Park Drive, Niantic

Then on Friday, July 10, our 10U Baseball All-Stars will battle for the District Championship 🏆 at 7:00 PM at Hubbard Park in Middletown !

No matter the outcome, these athletes have represented Middletown with pride, resilience, and class. We couldn't be prouder of everything they've accomplished.

Come out, make some noise, and help us cheer on these incredible teams as they continue their postseason journey!

The Middletown 10U All-Stars are headed to the District Championship!

The boys (and girl!) put together another complete team performance, defeating Cromwell 9-0 behind a combined shutout from Cam and Simon. At the plate, Middletown collected 15 hits, showed great patience with six walks, and got contributions throughout the lineup.

Congratulations to these players, coaches, and families on another outstanding win.

One more game. Let’s bring home the championship!
