To say this weekend started off good and ended great would be a huge understatement. I won my race and Codie Benton got 3rd overall but the highlight of it all was watching Austin Benton come through the Checkered flag for the 1st time since his injury !!!!!! To complete 36 miles of racing through sandwhoops and palmetto is a tough task in itself , but to do it only 6 months after throwing a leg over a bike since his incident is such a huge accomplishment. He raced for 2:01:03 in brutal conditions as well as taking a high speed soulnsample on the 3rd lap , but he got back on and brought to the finish!!!!! The hurdles that were cleared today will pave the way for great things in the future. I love you son and I'm so proud of you !!!!!!
