Tonight we put down the work. We step away from the range, the planning, the training — and we come home. To our families. To our tables. To the people we do all of this for.

Shabbat is not a pause in the mission. It is the reason for the mission.

This week we learned. We trained. We built something together as a community. And tonight we rest — knowing that the work we are doing matters. Not just for ourselves, but for every family sitting at a Shabbat table in Miami, across this country, and across the diaspora.

The prophet Ezekiel understood this. In chapter 33 he reminds us that the watchman's responsibility is not just to himself — it is to his community. To sound the alarm. To prepare. To protect. Not out of fear — but out of love for the people sitting at that table with him tonight.

That is why we train. That is why Lox & Loaded Miami exists.
So tonight — light the candles. Pour the wine. Hold the people you love a little closer. Reflect on the week. And know that by choosing to be prepared, by choosing to be trained, by choosing to be part of this community — you are already fulfilling an ancient and sacred responsibility.

Had a great Lox & Loaded Miami range meet-up last night. Worked with a bunch of new shooters, helped them get on target safely. We worked with diagnostic targets to help make some corrections and found we had a few sharp shooters in the crowd. All in all, we had a great time, taught people firearm safety, got them on target and dialed in.

Who Are We

Lox & Loaded is a growing network of chapters across the U.S., dedicated to teaching firearm safety, training, and preparedness to the Jewish community and our allies. We are parents, friends, neighbors, and professionals. We are ordinary people committed to building extraordinary strength through education, practice, and community.

Why We Started

In the wake of rising antisemitism and threats against our community, many of us felt an urgent need to take ownership of our safety. Not out of fear, but out of love for our families, our traditions, and our right to live free from threat. Lox & Loaded was founded to answer that call, creating a safe and supportive environment where training is accessible, professional, and rooted in community values.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple:

- Empowerment through education: teaching responsible firearm ownership and safety.
- Preparedness through training: building real skills, confidence, and readiness.
- Connection through community: fostering unity, strength, and support across the country.

📣 Lox & Loaded Miami – Official Chapter Kickoff & Range Night

We’re excited to officially launch the Miami Chapter of Lox & Loaded with our first organized range session and chapter kickoff event on Tuesday, February 10th at Pembroke Gun & Range.

This foundational meeting will set the tone for our training culture, safety standards, and group operations moving forward. It’s an opportunity for members and guests to meet one another, get oriented, and begin training in a structured, safe, and professional environment.

The range has asked us to provide a ballpark attendance estimate so they can ensure proper staffing and lane availability. If you haven’t already done so, please RSVP yes or no by email to [email protected]

Arrival Notice:
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow adequate time for check-in, equipment setup, and participant orientation.

RANGE WAIVER & MONTHLY RANGE FEE (REQUIRED)

Pembroke Gun & Range requires a same-day liability waiver for all shooters.
The waiver will be emailed to you the morning of the range meeting and must be completed before arriving. Waivers must be completed on the day of the event to remain valid.

Monthly Lox & Loaded Miami Range Fee:
$45 per person

Payment may be handled in advance or at the range. If paying cash, exact change is required to avoid delays. Payment must be completed prior to the start of the range session.

This monthly range fee helps support chapter operations, including range coordination and planning, training equipment and supplies, administrative costs, instructional resources, and personnel support necessary to safely run our sessions.

IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR OWN FIREARM AND/OR AMMUNITION

If you are bringing your own pistol:

🔴 Fi****ms must arrive unloaded (no round chambered, no magazine inserted)
🔴 Fi****ms must be transported in a dedicated range bag or case
🔴 Be aware of firearm orientation so the muzzle is safely oriented downrange when opened

🚫 Do not bring loaded fi****ms into the range.
Please either leave your loaded concealed-carry firearm secured in your vehicle, or bring it holstered and inside a dedicated fi****ms case. If you arrive with a loaded firearm (holstered and cased), notify an instructor immediately.

🚫 No live ammunition will be present during the classroom orientation portion prior to entering the range. All ammunition should remain secured in range bags until instructed otherwise.

IF YOU DO NOT OWN A FIREARM (OR AMMUNITION)

If you do not currently own a firearm or ammunition — you are here to learn, and we are here to help.

For your first session or two:

You will begin training with a low-recoil training pistol to learn safe handling, grip, stance, and basic operation

You will then transition to live-fire training on a standard pistol once foundational skills are established

Ammunition guidance for new shooters:
➤ One box of .22 caliber ammunition (CCI Mini-Mags recommended) – 50 rounds
➤ One box of 9mm FMJ ammunition – 50 rounds

Pistols may be rented, and ammunition may be purchased directly from the range if needed.

Welcome to the Miami Chapter of Lox & Loaded page.

Whether you are brand new to the Lox & Loaded community, just beginning your journey into preparedness and shooting sports, or you bring years (or decades) of training and experience—you are welcome here.

Lox & Loaded was founded on a simple but powerful premise:
stronger, safer communities are built through education, responsibility, and preparedness—not fear. Our goal is to bring people together who believe in lawful self-defense, situational awareness, and the importance of being informed, trained, and confident in their ability to protect themselves and those they care about.

At its core, Lox & Loaded is about helping our MOTs (Members of the Tribe)—and our friends—become their own best first responder. That means:

Emphasizing safety, education, and sound judgment

Encouraging continuous learning and skill development

Fostering a welcoming, supportive, and respectful community

Meeting people where they are, regardless of experience level

You do not need to be an expert to belong here. You simply need to support the mission of responsibility, preparedness, and looking out for one another.
