Poetry, called like a play🎙️🏀

For Poetics of the Play Call integration phase of our project, we teamed up with the Miami Heat radio broadcast team and to bring your words courtside, and live postgame, straight from the workshop to the airwaves.

Submissions for Poetics of the Play Call are open all month. Write a poem for your favorite basketball play. A set, a slip, a pull-up, a misdirection.

Views from Poetics of the Play Call! 🔥

With O, Miami we were able to host the club for a run at Kaseya Center alongside a Poetry workshop that explored the linguistic skill of broadcasting. Providing a unique experience for hoopers and writers alike, on a random Tuesday in March 😉 (cough *bam day* cough)

In this next phase of Poetics of the Playcall, we’re accepting poems from anyone who missed their chance at the event. This open call lasts the entire month of April for O’Miami’s Poetry Festival. Submitted poems will have a chance to be featured weekly on VIS World Top Plays, and maybe even on air LIVE from a broadcaster themselves this month.
