Last but certainly not least, we have our final 17s player highlights. First up, we have Raelyn Miller! Raelyn has shown that being the youngest player on our team has been no easy feat, but for her, that obstacle hasn't slowed her down. Her effort and ability to rise to the challenge of being on an older team has only made her better!
Raelyn finished AAU with the following stats: 3 aces, 7 kills, 12 digs, and 5 blocks. We can't wait to see her continue to grow with DNA!
Next, Victoria Del Rio! Victoria joined us for not only AAUs but also a last minute tournament in Miami over Memorial Day Weekend. She made the sacrifice to give up her holiday weekend and spend it competing with us, a brand new team to her. Her ability to jump in and compete for the libero spot at both tournaments is admirable.
Vicky finished the tournament with the following stats: 27 digs and 1.7 PR. We hope to continue watching Vicky grow as she enters her final season of high school and club volleyball. Thank you Vicky!
Finally, we have Gina! Gina came in as a RS and finished out by playing MB for us at AAU. Though it was not a position she was familiar with, her ability to jump in and give it all she got was fantastic! Being versatile is a quality most coaches look for in every player and Gina certainly has that attribute.
Gina finished AAUs with the following stats: 3 kills, 6 blocks, and 10 digs. Jumping into the MB position and getting blocks wasn't an easy task, but Gina gave it her all! We hope Gina joins us for her finals season of club volleyball and look forward to watching her during her senior season at Gulf Coast High School. Thank you Gina!
