I wanted to reach out to the Hornet Nation and ask for prayers and support for Tony Martinez and his family. Many already know, but Tony and Leslie were in a major auto accident last night. Leslie is doing fine, and we are so thankful. She was able to make the call to EMS and be there for her dad. Tony is currently at Shannon and underwent surgery this morning. We do not have any updates at this point, but we will keep you informed.

Update: Tony is out of surgery. His vitals are good, and the surgery went well!

This week, we’re excited to introduce another new face in the Irion County High School hallways — Faryn Callaway! 🎉

Faryn is a proud member of the Lady Hornet Cross-Country Team 🏃‍♀️🐝 and is involved in many of the opportunities our school has to offer. One of her favorite experiences this year has been becoming part of the FCA — Fellowship of Christian Athletes. 🙏💜

Faryn’s faith is truly inspiring, and throughout high school, she has enjoyed growing not only in her academics 📚 but also in her faith and through every course she’s had the opportunity to run. 🏃‍♀️✨

GREAT JOB TODAY ICXC! Meet highlights start with our Varsity Boys finishing 3rd overall, and 4 medaling in the top 15! Today was HUGE for these guys! These boys ran as a team today!! 💪👏

Varsity Girls finished first overall for the 3rd week in a row. What a force this group of girls is…. Keep WORKING ladies!!!!

Last but not least, JV Girls finished 1st as a team and ran very competitively! When your Varsity group is this strong, you can bet the JV Group is no slouch!! 😎
