Season 2026 is off and running for our Little Cats cheerleaders. From Little Cats cheer camp, Rec team try outs, summer practice to our first scrimmage of the season the girls are rocking on, making friends, learning skills and having fun!

Our new Cheer Admin (Coach Sterner) will be taking charge as our previous admin enjoys her last year simply coaching and seeing our sixth graders finish their last year as Mena Youth Cheerleaders.

“Being apart of youth cheer and coaching for the last six years has taught me that kids will give it all they’ve got for something they enjoy. They will give you random hugs and tell you things you didn’t need to know. Watching the timid little ones find their voice and courage to call cheers is some of the best times. I’m going to miss it all but I’m looking forward to watching them progress through Jr and Sr high.” -Coach Trixie

We are so excited to have our Little Cats cheering on the sidelines for the Red & Black Scrimmage this Monday! Our Little Cats will meet the Varsity Cheerleaders on the track at 5:30 PM so we can get everyone together and run through everything at least once before the scrimmage begins.

The scrimmage starts at 6:00 PM, so please make sure your cheerleader is at the track and ready to go by 5:30 PM.

For the dress code, all cheerleaders should wear their white Cheer Camp shirt with red or black shorts. Please make sure they come dressed and ready to cheer!

We will also be collecting macaroni & cheese donations for our school’s Backpack Program. If you are able to send a box or two with your cheerleader, we would greatly appreciate it! This is a great opportunity for our Little Cats to give back and support students in our community.

We can’t wait to see our Little Cats back on the sidelines and cheering alongside our Varsity Cheerleaders for the Red & Black Scrimmage! See you Monday night!🏈🏈
