Friday 5/29, 4:45 Update - Cameron Brown has received the all clear for lightning. Despite a less than favorable forecast we are going to try and get the games in tonight, but if we incur any weather delays tonight we will move the games to 10am tomorrow morning.

Each year, GBL selects a charitable cause to help with all the proceeds from the Umansky Auto GBL All-Star game. This year's games, will take place June 4th at Cameron Brown Park, we are proud to announce we will be supporting the family of Steven Shelton. Steven has been a GBL coach for several years, and currently coaches the Royals 9-10 Division team, as well as our 12U Lady Rays Softball team.

Over the past few months, Steven and his family have been walking through a very difficult season they never expected. What began as a medical emergency quickly turned into a life-altering journey, filled with doctor visits, surgery, unanswered questions, waiting and countless prayers. While doctors were able to remove the brain tumor, they are now facing news no family ever wants to hear, as they have received final pathology and prepare for the next phase of treatment. Between the doctor visits and his recovery from surgery, Steven is only able to work a few hours each day. Since he will require additional treatments, his ability to work full-time will be limited, at least for the time being. As the primary provider for their family, this sudden pause has brought not only emotional weight, but a real concern for financial matters now and for the future.

GBL is donating every dollar from concession stand sales during the All-Star game evening to the Shelton Family, so make plans to come out enjoy dinner or a snack while enjoying a fun evening of baseball and helping support a great cause.
