I recently heard a funny story on the radio about people who go to open houses just for the free food or to use the bathroomโ€ฆ not because theyโ€™re actually interested in buying the house.

And honestlyโ€ฆ it made me think.

As a real estate agent, open houses are something weโ€™re taught to do as part of marketing a home. But the reality can sometimes look like this:

โ€ข People just looking for decorating ideas

๐Ÿšจ Perfect example of why people feel โ€œstuckโ€ even when eating healthierโ€ฆ

A lot of people look at cereal (or honestly any food) and think theyโ€™re eating way fewer calories than they really are.

Why?
Because nutrition labels use tiny โ€œbabyโ€ serving sizes and most of us eyeball portions instead of actually measuring or logging.

For example:
Letโ€™s say I eat 2.5 cups of this cereal + 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk.

That comes out to around 645 calories.
Most people would guess under 500 without thinking twice. Me included before I counted my calories correctly and consistently.

That extra 150โ€“200 calories adds up FAST over days and weeksโ€ฆ and suddenly youโ€™re wondering why progress has stalled or you feel โ€œStuckโ€

Iโ€™m not saying this is โ€œbadโ€ or โ€œgoodโ€ food, just using it as a real-life example of why you might feel like youโ€™re doing everything right but still not seeing results.

Awareness changes everything.
