Toby Taylor has been named the new head girls' basketball coach at Elmore Park Middle School, Principal Ethan Randall announced. He will replace Sara Black.
Taylor coached his last two years as the assistant girls' coach at Collierville High School, where he assisted the Lady Dragons to a school's best record, at that time, of 20-10 since the 2002 season. Before Collierville, Taylor was the head boys' coach at Schilling Farms Middle School. During the five years at Schilling Farms, Taylor led the Stallions to a Municipal Schools Regional Championship Title and three Municipal Schools Regional Runner-up Titles. Taylor has also been actively coaching AAU/Travel basketball over the past ten years.
"I feel blessed to be the next head girls' coach at Elmore Park Middle School. I believe playing sports gives children the opportunity to learn critical life skills such as dedication, perseverance, endurance, teamwork, discipline, and leadership. I am ready to work with the administration, parents, players, and the community to build a successful program. Thank you to Principal Randall for the chance to lead and serve the Lady Eagles of Elmore Park", Taylor said.
