Haven't we all started or even completed countless exercise programs over the years? I am an ex-smoker, with thyroid disease and a blood disorder just to name a few of my health set backs and struggles over the years. Your health problems don't need or have to limit your quality of

life as vastly as you think... God wants for us to be happy and a large part of achieving happiness for many of us is tied closely to quality of life and to some degree; being "comfortable in our own skin". In scripture it states, "our body is our temple" and if that's true then we should focus on building a tabernacle worthy of hosting our Lord and savior--after all, doesn't He reside within us? If we build our "ROME" body with HIM- would we not have truly honored Him by showing him we have taken care of what he has entrusted to us and been good stewards and examples giving the glory to Him always? On my journey, I have completed P90x, P90x2, Insanity (most of these programs more than once- crazy, right?) Half Marathons, a triathlon, and races in-between. I am now a registered NPC athlete which has led me to the discovery that an effective workout regimen need not be complicated, scientific, full of muscle confusion, or simply so difficult that the average person could simply never even begin much less ever aspire to!! I want to help you, with God to become the best version of yourself-- help you build your own personal "ROME" body. I've developed an award winning regimen that I wish to share with you. All I ask is that each time we are together you bring your idealism, your self surrender and your spirit of charity :)

This weekend I was reminded yet again how special sisterhood in this sport can be. ❤️
iv.nurse, thank you for loving me so well this weekend. You lent me your suit, your bracelet, your tanner, and even let me completely take over your room to get ready. I truly don’t know how I would have pulled everything together without you. Your generosity and calm spirit meant more to me than you know.

My heart is so full after this past weekend. ❤️

The greatest gift was the time spent with family — the laughs, the memories, the moments that remind me what truly matters most. Being surrounded by the people I love filled my cup in a way no trophy ever could.🥰

And the cherry on top? Getting to step on stage and compete in my hometown. To do what I love, in front of familiar faces and support that means so much to me… that feeling is hard to put into words.

The placements may not define me, but I’m genuinely satisfied and proud of what I brought to the stage. Grateful for the journey, the growth, and every lesson along the way.

Most of all, all praise and honor to God for every one of these gifts. None of this would be possible without His grace, strength, protection, and the people He has placed in my life. I never want to lose sight of where every blessing comes from.

This weekend was a reminder that success isn’t just about titles — it’s about faith, purpose, people, and being present enough to soak it all in. 💫

Quick little photo dump 📷…
Life lately has been a mix of sawdust and self-discipline.

Remodeling our living + dining space…
and cutting to see what lies beneath.

Two completely unrelated things—
yet both require vision, patience, and consistency.
And more importantly… both are things I can control.
There’s a quiet kind of peace in that. A sense of purpose too.

In this Lenten season, I’ve been starting my mornings with Pray40 on the —waking up with God, grounding myself before the noise of the day. It’s hard to believe Palm Sunday is almost here… and Easter right behind it ✝️

I had hoped to have both my remodel—and honestly, my physique—ready by Easter… and it looks like I just might make it 🥳

But more than the end result, this season has been a reminder:
We are called to be balanced.

Spiritually.
Physically.
Emotionally.
Intellectually.

We are living tabernacles of the Holy Spirit.
And when we truly remember that… we start treating ourselves differently—
with more intention, more discipline, more care.

To those of you who say you don’t want to see masters athletes on stage, that they don’t inspire you and you don’t want to see old people half naked… and the biggie “masters athletes don’t sell tickets or land lucrative sponsors….”

1- you don’t want to see masters athletes on stage?

The stage isn’t meant to reflect only one audience preference, it represents the full spectrum of what disciplined physiques looks like across a lifetime. Masters expand what’s possible.

2- masters athletes don’t inspire you??

Not every division is meant to inspire every person, but the ability to build and maintain a high level physique over decades is objectively rare and worthy of respect.

3- you don’t want to see old people half naked?

If the standard is physique excellence, age shouldn’t discredit someone, it should add context to what they’ve achieved.

4- masters athletes don’t sell tickets or land high dollar sponsors??

Spectatorship and spending aren’t the same thing. Younger audiences may watch—but older demographics consistently outspend them in fitness, travel, and event participation. Masters athletes attend AND invest.

Trends may fill seats for a moment—but consistency, commitment, and spending power build the sport. Masters athletes bring all three.
