THE MOMENT IS HERE 🔥Trojan Youth Cheer – Competition Team Selections
We saw something special this week. Every athlete who stepped onto that floor showed courage, effort, and heart—and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
That said, this was not an easy decision. As our program continues to grow, we are limited in how many athletes we can take on. Because of that, selections were based on what truly matters in this sport:
💥 Attitude
💥 Coachability
💥 Effort
💥 Attendance
💥 Confidence under pressure
The fast-paced material taught during evaluations was intentional. We wanted to evaluate more than just ability—we wanted to see who would:
✔️Pick up choreography and formations quickly
✔️Use the videos provided to practice on their own
✔️Respond well to mistakes in the moment
✔️Take corrections from coaches and apply them
✔️Continue performing with confidence, no matter what
Because in competition cheer, mistakes will happen—what matters is how you handle them. Please understand that these decisions are not based on one moment alone. We considered the full picture—overall performance, consistency, commitment, growth, prior involvement, and readiness to be part of a team throughout the entire season.
To those selected—congratulations. This is just the beginning, and we are excited for what’s ahead. We will see you Monday.
To those who were not selected this time—keep going. This is not the end of your journey. Growth takes time, and the athletes who improve the most are the ones who stay committed to their own improvement and continue showing up for themselves.
We are proud of every athlete who stepped out there this week. ❤️
⚠️ Important: This is not the list for the middle school football cheer team. That team will be selected by the school cheer coaches, and their list will be posted on their page next week.
