Don’t Drain The Duck Factory
Every season begins long before opening morning. Before the first call echoes through the timber. Before the first boat leaves the ramp. Before a dog makes its first retrieve. It begins thousands of miles north, in a landscape of wetlands and native grasslands known as the Prairie Pothole Region the place waterfowl hunters have long called the Duck Factory.
This is where the journey begins.
Millions of ducks hatch here each year before making their way into the flyways that define our seasons. The birds we wait on, the memories we make and the traditions we pass down all begin in these breeding grounds. But today, those places are under threat.
Every year, critical wetlands are drained and native grasslands are lost, reducing the habitat that has sustained North America’s waterfowl for generations. If we want healthy migrations tomorrow, we have to protect the places that make them possible today. At Chêne, we’ve always believed that the privilege of hunting comes with a responsibility to give back. We build gear for the moments we cherish, but those moments only exist because of the resource itself.
That’s why we’re proud to support Ducks Unlimited’s effort to help protect the Duck Factory and stop the continued loss of these vital breeding grounds.
This is about more than conserving habitat. It’s about protecting a way of life. It’s about ensuring that future generations experience the same mornings that shaped us - the sound of wings overhead, a dog breaking through icy water, and the stories shared long after the hunt is over. The future of duck hunting isn’t guaranteed. It’s something we all have a role in protecting.
Join us in helping protect the Duck Factory, because the future of every flyway begins here.
