This weekend was as much bitter as it was sweet. Today we said goodbye to most of our girls as we send them up to 10U to begin their new adventures… some in Melbourne… Oviedo… and others in Windermere. As the final inning of today’s game started to wind down, the emotions became very real. We will always selflessly cheer for our teammates when they are on top of the world, and will stand behind them if they ever fall. For those leaving the 8U division, Coach Bobby and his daughter Ryan wish you the absolute best in your new journey. We’ll be watching you continue to do great things.

5 games over the weekend. Down a few runs in the championship game but turned the momentum after the lightning delay to come back for a 10-6 victory. They never gave up and were rewarded for it. Very proud of this group right here.

What an incredible experience. Firecrackers take on Puerto Rico 8U and other local talent right here in Melbourne. Battle all weekend to come back and win their first Gold Championship. Thank you FDF for the opportunity.

This is the most passionate 8U softball team I’ve seen in a long time. They left their heart on the field at the end of a 5 game weekend in some serious heat, the last one ending in double tiebreaker fashion. 3-2 overall on the weekend.
