I’ve had so much fun doing partner competitions in the past so I’m super excited for this AND to be traveling out of Tampa to do it.

I love it here but sometimes I like to experience new scenery 😂

Happy Monday!

Been a while since I’ve actually shared who I am and what I do soooooooo

My name is Alisha and I am an Certified Strength + Movement Coach at / in Tampa, FL

A few things about me:

🌻 I am a cat mama to two brothers named T’Challa and Plop

🌻I have 7 siblings!

🌻 Born + Raised in Connecticut

🌻 Graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a B.A. in Sociology

🌻 In college, I was a D1 Track + Field athlete competing in the heptathlon, high jump + javelin

🌻 Got certified in OPEX March of 2019

🌻 Quit my job as a Travel Nurse Recruiter to become a full-time coach in September of 2019

🌻 I specialize in mobility + strength training helping decision fatigued folks feed their inner athlete so they can increase PRs and gain range to move more freely in their bodies all while indulging in their life, relationships + career

I am taking applications for badass post collegiate and retired athletes who want to train like an athlete without sacrificing their life, career and relationships.

The first in-person Juneteenth Event exceeded my expectations.

My vision was to host it at a venue that felt safe + inclusive and said YES without hesitation that we could host at

My vision was that it would be a free event; we got a sponsor

My vision had six businesses + I had seven who said YES.

My vision had food and we got and .stpete to come through for us 🤙🏽

My vision was to have at least 25 people and we got 40 🥹

My vision was to match my highest donation amount of $600 from years past and we collected $820 this year

And my vision didn’t come to life on my own. I had a dope ass team of people working with me to make every aspect of this event come to life and I seriously cannot thank them enough for helping me. I couldn’t have done it alone.

Thank you again. To the attendees, to the team + to everyone who shared the event 🫶🏽

The year is 2019.

You just quit your comfortable full time corporate job to become a coach with nothing but a certification and a prayer.

Also, you didn’t know that you were going into an entrepreneurial field right before the pandemic that absolutely paralyzes the world.

You’re just out here with no blueprint but doing whatever it takes to create something, anything that brings you more life.

Fast forward to 4 years later.

You’re working at a woman owned facility that prioritizes diversity, equality and a high quality of movement.

You’re hosting your first sponsored IN PERSON donation event bringing together local businesses to contribute to a cause you believe in.

You’ve impacted the lives of countless individuals by teaching them how to gain freedom and love for their bodies.

And you get to do this for a LIVING. Every day.

You never imagined that your life could be like this but because you took that leap, you’ve been able to create beautiful experiences along the way that are fulfilling and teachable for your future endeavors.

Damn girl. I’m proud of you. 🥹

I cried 4x 💁🏽‍♀️🧜🏽‍♀️

Despite being deathly afraid of open water, I’ve always loved mermaids. One time, when I was little, I tried to wrap my legs in a towel and swim like a mermaid (obviously that didn’t workout well) 😅 Seeing this rendition of my favorite childhood movie brought tears to my eyes for many reasons that I don’t need to share. Just know, young Beemss is beaming right now after seeing this movie 🥲🥹

Some throwbacks to a Young Beemss in her prime 😂

As of today, I’ve been sober 44 days

I know when y’all see me workout + do crossfitty s**t you think I don’t drink or dabble in the g***a but I do 🤷🏽‍♀️

Unfortunately for me, the line between when I’m using for fun and using to cope is VERY thin 🥲

So, as of March 21st, I’ve decided to stay sober until further notice

No set date or goal, just giving myself time to feel s**t in my real life instead of using to “have fun” but really I’m just running away

I’m chillin right now, I’m just healing through some s**t but boyyyyyyy do I have some good/interesting memories attached to all of these pictures 🥹😂

1. Dranking before went on set in Orlando
2. Bussin back a bottle of during spring break before tearing up Myrtle Beach with and the crew
3. Double fi***ng in Fed Hill, Baltimore preparing the liquid courage to make a boy jealous by throwing it back on everything all night (that didn’t workout well for me, for obvious reasons😂)
4. I finally learned how to roll with papers and tadaaaaaaaa
