There's a cat named Fenix... in my honor. 🐾

I know. Wild, right? But let me tell you why.

I'm one of the lucky ones. I found my home. I get to nap on the good couch, beg for snacks I'm not supposed to have, and live my best wobbly little life every single day. Cerebellar hypoplasia and all.

But not every animal with this wobble gets as lucky as I did — at least, not yet.

A while back, Bubbles Dog Rescue took in a cat with that same condition I have. Same wobble in his legs. Same big heart underneath it. They named his Fenix, after me — because they said she reminded them so much of the boy who never let his wobble stop him from loving hard 🫶 😭

Here's the part that breaks my heart: it's been a while now. Fenix the cat has already had two meet-and-greets — two real chances — and both times, for reasons we can't find, she still hasn't found his home. She is gentle. She is playful. She is exactly the kind of soul who deserves someone who looks at a little wobble and sees nothing but joy looking back at them.

It is time. Past time. For Fenix the cat to get his forever home.
