The world doesn't make it easy for anyone with differences…

It's hard out there. Sometimes cruel.

But our challenges, our disabilities, our setbacks, our injustices… all of it can help us find MORE L🥰VE AND COURAGE within us.

You've just got to do JUST one thing:
Keep being you.
Keep going.
Keep showing up.

I love you and I believe in you 🐾

FYI — I have a neurological condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia which affects my coordination and balance. I'm not in any pain, have full life expectancy, and am living my best life 🐾

Fenix and Ellie 🐾 🐾

We have so few photos of Fenix and Ellie together.

Because honestly, so many of the days she was with us were hard.

We worked so hard to help her. We moved mountains for her. We gave her everything we had, and when that wasn’t enough, we created a community around her that gave what we couldn’t.

We loved her fiercely.

But we didn’t know what we didn’t know.

Until we did.
Until the end. 🌈

We didn’t know she was blind.

We didn’t know she had multiple neurological disorders, not just CH like Fenix.

We didn’t know that so much of the growling and aggression was coming from pain and fear.

And we definitely didn’t know that we would only get 2 months and 2 days with her in her fur body.

At the time, it felt impossibly short.

But now I understand that Ellie came to show us something.

She came to show us what Love was.
How deeply we could love.
How much Love we already carried within us.

And when her body could no longer stay…

Ellie didn’t leave.

Her life became something so much bigger than those 2 months and 2 days.

Her life became a legacy of pet grief support, helping humans around the world heal their hearts and reconnect with the younger parts of themselves that still need love.

Her life became a book.

A guide for anyone ready to allow pet grief to become a doorway back to the soul they thought they lost.

And her presence is still here with me.

Showing me.
Encouraging me.
Guiding me every day.

Sometimes all I have to do is close my eyes and call her name.

It’s taken time, patience, grief, and so much love to know her this way.

But Ellie…

I would walk through every hard and painful day with you again and again if it meant having you live in my heart, my breath, and my life the way you do today.

Tomorrow is Ellie’s Rainbowversary. 🌈🎉

2 years since we held her in our arms and let her pass into Spirit. ✨

And in her honor, Fenix and Ellie’s mum is sharing a free 90-minute pet grief healing session on Zoom.

A space to learn how to grieve the loss of your soulmate animal and explore how the love you shared with them can help heal the childhood wounds they came here to touch. ❤️‍🩹

The vet expected he might never walk...

We adopted Fenix knowing he had CH: a neurological disorder (Cerebellar Hypoplasia) which affects his coordination and balance. He's not in any pain, has full life expectancy and is obvs 🙄 living his best life.

While there were signs of his cute little bounces… and it did evolve over time, we were expecting to help a dog who might never walk fluidly or easily… and then one day he was that smooth prancin' superstar 🤣 🤯

We love you. Fenix and Zoë 🤗

Nobody trained him to prance like this. His body just figured it out.
