When Michelle Obama said, “When they go low, we go high,” I believe she was speaking to more than behavior. She was speaking to a higher level of consciousness rooted in dignity, purpose, and truth.

Monday’s Mindset…🤔

Nobody tells you that with age comes surprise aches and pains. One day your knee is acting up, the next day it’s your shoulder, and somehow you injured yourself while sleeping. 😂🥴

The craziest part is you didn’t even do anything! You simply woke up and your body said, “We’ve installed a new ache. Thank you for updating.” 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

We may creak a little when we get up, but thank GOD we still get up! 🙌🏽❤️

🌻Sacred Soil Reflection…

As I deepen my relationship with GOD, I’ve discovered something surprising: faith doesn’t make life easier. It changes how we walk through life’s challenges.
Ecclesiastes 7:8 says, “Patience is better than pride.”

Lately, I’ve been learning why.
Patience is not a place we arrive. It is a lesson we learn again and again.

Pride wants control. It wants certainty. It wants to know how everything will work out.

Patience requires surrender.🙏🏽✨

The more I try to control the outcome, the more frustrated I become. The more I trust GOD, the more peace I find.✨

What I’ve come to understand is that faith is not developed because we don’t have problems. Faith is developed by how we respond to them.

In this season, GOD is teaching me that the lesson is not control. The lesson is endurance!

And while surrender is uncomfortable, growth often is.

Every challenge is another opportunity to trust GOD with what I cannot control.🙏🏽

Patience is not weakness. It is faith learning how to wait.☺️✨

🌿🌻Sacred Soil Reflection…

Nature doesn’t apologize for releasing what it no longer needs.

Yet many of us hold on long after a season has ended.

We hold on to expectations, relationships and old versions of ourselves.

But what if release isn’t loss?
What if release is trust?

Trusting that what is meant for us will remain.
Trusting that what is leaving has fulfilled its purpose.
Trusting that GOD is preparing the soil for something new.

As I continue to walk through this season of transition, I am learning that letting go is not weakness, it is wisdom.

🌻Legacy Reflection…

As I reflect on our upcoming Lewis Legacy Reunion, I find myself drawn to this photograph.

Today, we remember her as Grandma. But before she was Grandma, she was a young woman with dreams, hopes, questions, and a future she could not yet see.

She could not have known the sacrifices she would make, the lives she would touch, or the generations that would one day exist because she did.

My grandmother was a graduate of Hampton University at a time when many women, especially Black women, had limited access to higher education. Her courage, determination, and commitment to learning helped shape the legacy she would leave behind.

When I look at this photo, I am reminded that so much of who I am today is woven from the threads of her life. Her wisdom, strength, resilience, and faith continue to live within me. I draw from them every day.🥹🫶🏽

GOD is everywhere, yet one of the most sacred places He dwells is within you.

Before making decisions, rushing ahead, or searching outside yourself for answers, pause and go inward. The Divine Presence you seek is not far away.

Spend time with GOD, and His thoughts will begin to shape your thoughts. His peace will guide your choices. His abundance will remind you that what you need is already being revealed.

Be still. Listen. The Presence of GOD is within.

There are no words to express 🥺 the love I have for the baby girl who introduced me to the sacred gift of becoming a grandmother. Being a Mom is a blessing, but becoming your Grandmom has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Breylie Michelle, my Lala, today I celebrate you. 🎓✨

As you step into this new chapter, my prayer is that you always remember who you are.🫶🏽

You are intelligent, courageous, kind, and deeply loved.

Trust yourself. Trust the wisdom within you. Stand firm in your faith and never allow the world to convince you that you are anything less than the beautiful daughter GOD created you to be.

When life becomes challenging, pause, take a breath, ✨…and remember that GOD goes before you, walks beside you, and lives within you.

Lala, I am so proud of the young lady you are becoming. Watching you grow has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

I love you beyond words, and I always will. ❤️

I know GOD is real because I cannot imagine navigating this life without His Presence.🙏🏽

Prayer has given me peace when life felt chaotic.

Faith has given me hope when circumstances looked impossible.

The Holy Spirit has given me discernment when I could not see clearly.✨

The older I get, the more I realize that I am not capable of doing life in my own strength.

Prayer is not my last resort; it is my first response.🙏🏽

Coming Home to My Younger Self.🥹

As I look back at my 17-year-old self, I realize how much of life pulled me away from who I truly was. We spend so many years chasing validation, survival, status, relationships, and expectations that we lose touch with the parts of ourselves that were once imaginative, curious, and full of dreams.✨

Inner child work has taught me that healing is not about becoming someone else… it’s about returning home to yourself with compassion, softness, and truth.

Because in the end, the journey is about remembering who we were before the world told us who we had to be.🌻
