2026 VIKINGS FALL BALL PROGRAM

Our Fall Ball Program is a great opportunity for current and prospective players to develop their skills and build a connection with our coaching staff before heading into the off-season. Whether you’re locked in for the 2026 season or just looking to grow your game this fall, this 6-week program is for you.

Vikings Fall Ball Dates:

(6 weeks)

Starts 9/1 --- Ends 10/10

Weeknight Field Location:

Morelli Field

252-310 Lynn Fells Parkway

Melrose, MA

(couple nights at Pine Banks Grass)

Tuesday: 5:00-7:30pm Morelli Field

Thursday: 5:00-7:30pm Morelli Field

Big Diamond

Saturday: 7:30-10am

Morelli Field

Small Diamond

Sunday: 8:00-10:30am

Pine Banks Softball Field

Weekend Field Location:

13u & up - Morelli Field

12u & down - TBD

Game Schedule: August 2nd – August 28th
• T-Ball – Sundays at 9:00am @ Carr Park
• AA – Tuesdays at 6:00pm @ Gillis Park
• AAA – Wednesdays & Fridays at 6:00pm @ Gillis Park
• Majors – Thursdays at 6:000pm @ Carr Park

How it works: Players are split into teams on-site, and coaches will help balance matchups to keep things competitive. Don’t worry if you can’t make every game — just RSVP in advance through SportsEngine so we know who to expect.

2026 VIKES SUMMER CLINICS

Don't stop now! Let's keep these players active and continue to make up some much needed gross motor development time as well as social interaction with their peers and coaches!!! Our children are behind in their overall development, so lets play some catch up with a week or two of fun baseball activity!!!

This is a 5-day Viking Baseball Clinic that will run for 2 weeks at the end of July and beginning of August.

Players can sign up for just one week or both!!

Week 1: July 27th - 31st

Week 2: Aug. 3rd - Aug. 7th

$425 per week
$800 for 2 weeks

The clinic will be held at Pine Banks Park in Melrose, MA each day from 9:30am-2:00pm.

We will split up
players into age/ability appropriate groups for station work and games.

What to Expect this Week:

In the mornings after our stretching/throwing/warmup is completed each day we will be focusing on one of the following:
Defensive Skill Work
Offensive Skill Work
Baseball IQ Development
Situational Awareness
Speed Training
Arm Care Routines
Baserunning
Live BP

We will then break for lunch and let the boys get a rest before we go into our games.

Games will be separated by appropriate age if necessary and will be some form of wiffle ball, tenny ball, or a coach assisted live game. All of this will be determined day to day

WHAT TO BRING:
Baseball Glove
Baseball Bat (if you have one)
Baseball Hat
Baseball pants
Sunscreen (if needed)
Cleats, Turf shoes, or sneakers
Lunch
Water, water, water (small cooler)

Make Up Tryout

TUESDAY June 30th

Due to the rainout of our scheduled tryouts, we have added a make-up tryout this Tuesday at Choice Fitness.

Location:

Choice Fitness – 3rd Floor Turf Field
194 Newbury Street
Peabody, MA 01960

Tryout Schedule:

4:00 PM – 5:30 PM: 9u–12u

5:30 PM – 7:00 PM: 13u–14u

If your player was unable to attend due to the weather, this will be their opportunity to complete their tryout. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and be ready to begin on time.

We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and look forward to seeing all prospective players on Tuesday!

Congrats to the 11U 'Stangs, who went 3-0 in the group stage at the District tournament this weekend. They'll play Arlington sometime this week when it's not raining* for the right to go to the State tourney!

*tentatively Tuesday at 6pm at Drane field, come cheer 'em on!

Vikings Baseball 2026 - 2027 Season Tryouts!

Please see below for the details related to 9u-14u tryouts:

Tryout Fee:

Returners: $40
New Players: $60

To accommodate more players we hold tryouts on multiple dates. Each tryout session is staffed with plenty of Vikings coaches to run a smooth and efficient day. We do not require players to make every tryout session, however 2 sessions are preferred if possible.

We will not make decisions on players or rosters until we have allowed all players to participate in tryouts. After all tryouts are completed we compile our data and get to work! We aim to have all Roster Spot Offers out within 7 to 10 days of the last tryout. We do not force players to decide if they will take that offer right away, we do not believe in the 24 hour under the gun rule that most programs have today. We want the players and the families to ask questions and make an informed and educated decision that is best for them!
