It is that time of year again!!!! We are getting ready to kick off the 2026/2027 WAHSET season! If you are interested and would like to get more information please join us at our upcoming informational meeting!!! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team advisor!

Have you been wanting to join the team but don’t own a horse? If you’re interested in leasing for the season reach out to us! We may be able to help you out. Missed the registration meeting? That’s okay! It’s not too late to join. September is open enrollment and new members are welcome anytime during the month.

We wanted to shoutout two of our athletes, Brooklyn (Senior) and Preslie (Junior) for their recent wins in Youth Ranch Sorting at the Bonner County Fair! Congratulations! 🐮

We know it still feels like summer, but the 2027 WAHSET season is just a couple weeks from starting. We’ll see all of you who are interested this Monday at the MSHS Library at 6 pm for our Registration Meeting. Go MTSET!

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Pleasant Valley Stables and the displacement of so many horses and people in our community. Grateful for all the people who showed up with trailers to get our team horses and the rest of the PVS horses to safety.

For those of you who are able to make it, our new member info night will still be happening tomorrow. If you cannot attend, don’t worry. We’ll have info for you at the registration meeting at the end of the month.

If anyone needs support for themselves or their horses please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The team is spending the weekend at Newport Rodeo Arena with Northwest Mounted Shooters setting balloons for the Rusty Palmer Memorial and Idaho State Shoots! If you want to support the team with this fundraiser and get a front row seat to some awesome mounted shooting running some balloons, feel free to join us! We’ll be meeting at the arena Friday at 3 PM and Saturday and Sunday at 8 AM.

If you’re wanting to join the team this fall, funds raised will be credited to your season! Please message us with any questions.

The trophies were not quite ready at our district awards ceremony but we received our Medium Team High Point award for the 2026 season this weekend! This award is an aggregate of points from every competing athlete. Congratulations to the whole team for their success this year at our district meets!

A big congratulations to Maddie W and Mya for their second place finish and silver medal 🥈today in Hunt Seat Over Fences at the Pacific Northwest Invitational Championship!

Congratulations also to Brook and Preslie for representing Mt Spokane and District One in In Hand Trail and Team Sorting!

PNWIC is the highest level of competition in WAHSET and OHSET and all three of our athletes did an awesome job this weekend at Moses Lake. This officially wraps up the 2026 season. We’ll be back soon for our meetings in August to kick off 2027!

As the season draws to a close we wanted to give one last shoutout and say congratulations to our 2026 seniors: Gracey, Bailey, and Olivia! We’ll miss you and we’re wishing all three of you the best of luck in your futures!
