We just got back from a long trip to OKC last weekend, and what did we do next? Another tournament... why not?!
What an exciting weekend it turned out to be. We made a last-minute switch in tournaments knowing the weather forecast wasn't looking great, and it paid off. Not only did we get more time on the field, but we also came home with another Championship!
The girls looked a little out of sync in their first game on Saturday, but they battled through pool play and finished with a 2-1 record. Sunday brought its own challenges, with multiple schedule changes due to Mother Nature, athletes stepping into different positions, and hot, muggy conditions that tested everyone. Through it all, the team adapted and found a way to win.
We couldn't be more proud of these athletes for stepping up and competing the way they did. Back-to-back weekends with back-to-back Championships! What an incredible accomplishment for these young ladies!
One thing we probably don't say often enough is how much we appreciate our assistant coaches - Coach Seth and Coach Rachel. So much of your work happens behind the scenes, and it's easy for it to go unnoticed, but our team wouldn't be the same without your support. Thank you for always showing up and helping this team grow.
A huge thank you again to all of our parents for always being there to cheer on these athletes. We couldn't do any of this without you!
Now it's back to work as we prepare for our upcoming Broken Bow tournament. See you all on the field soon!
