We are excited to announce the final roster for the 2027 McEwen 6-8 Baseball season!

Thank you to every athlete who came out and competed during tryouts. We’re looking forward to getting to work with this group and preparing for the season.

A few important notes:

• Baseball conditioning will begin when students return to school in January. Specific dates and times will be announced as we get closer.

• Parent/Player Contracts will be sent home soon. Both the player and parent/guardian will be expected to read, sign, and follow the expectations outlined in the contract.

• Any breach of the Parent/Player Contract by either the player or parent/guardian may result in the player’s dismissal from the team.

Congratulations to everyone who made the roster. Enjoy the fall, keep working, and be ready to go when January gets here!

Thank you to everyone who came out to tryouts today. We were very impressed with the turnout of 26 athletes competing for a spot in our program.

The final roster will be posted after all athletes have had the opportunity to try out. Thank you for your patience as we complete the evaluation process.

There will be no fall workouts this year. Baseball conditioning will begin in January, and more information will be shared as we get closer.

A reminder to all athletes and parents: Academics and behavior matter. Any athlete who is failing a class during the first semester and/or receives three (3) days of ISS at any point during the first semester will not be eligible to be on the team.

Thank you again for your effort, attitude, and support of McEwen Baseball. We are excited about the future of this program.

⚾️ McEwen Baseball 6-8 ⚾️

The final tryout for the 2027 season will be held on Wednesday, August 5, immediately after school.

Important Information:
🔴 Players must be GREEN in Final Forms before participating. Any player who is not cleared will not be allowed to try out.

🔴 Returning players are not guaranteed a spot on this year’s team. Every athlete will earn their place through the tryout process.

🔴 Please come dressed and ready to play with all necessary baseball equipment.

- Cleats

Workouts on Monday, June 1st, have been canceled due to weather.

Everyone who attended the 6–8 baseball tryouts will advance to the next round of evaluations. Workouts will begin Monday at 6:00 PM on the field.

If your child has basketball or football practice at that time, attendance is not mandatory. We fully support our other school sports and encourage our athletes to be involved in multiple programs.

Due to large amounts of rain this week, we are going to move tryouts to the Tennsco Building on Wednesday, May 27th from 5:00–7:00 PM.

This will be indoors, so players may wear shorts and tennis shoes. Baseball pants and cleats are not needed.

Parents/guardians must be present to sign liability waivers.
