Hiking:

As of late: trails near McCloud are experiencing moderate fire danger and generally accessible. Though they can be muddy, overgrown, or have lingering seasonal hazards. Temperatures have been mild to warm, active bugs, & temps ranging from mid-50s to mid-70s during the day.

Potential hazards to watch out for is lingering ice on rocks, muddy areas, loose debris, or in some areas, seasonal snow in upper elevations.

It is always recommended to check directly with the Shasta Trinity National Forest for specific trail closures or updates before heading out.

If you plan on doing an overnight hiking trip or multi-day. Come by our store and let us help you get the gear you will need to enjoy the McCloud Outdoors.
