Black Squirrel Mafia MTB Team This is the Black Squirrel Mafia MTB team for middle and high school student mountain bikers. Our athletes range from 6th grade through 12th grade.

The Etowah County Composite Team competes in Alabama Cycling Association (ACA) races during the spring season. The coaches of Etowah County Composite teach core values developing each student's athletic abilities along with building up their moral character. The coaches and parents strive together to make this team a positive experience in these athlete's lives that they can share their stories wi

th others, and hope to grow this sport bigger with each passing year. We are always looking for new riders, volunteers, and sponsors. Contact us to see how you can be a part of this amazing program!

With our last race of the 2026 season this weekend, we would like to recognize our 2 senior riders.

Ella Huffman raced 6 years with our team, missing her 10th grade season due to ankle surgery. We are certainly amazed she has not bitten off her tongue while racing.

Asher Lang has raced with us for all 7 years.
Asher's first time riding with us led to a parking lot crash with a skinned up knee before the ride started. We had just told mom, Erica Tucker Lang, that we would take good care of him and not to worry.

It has been a pleasure to coach these two and
watch them grow up over the years. They both have become well rounded young adults with very bright futures ahead of them.
We hope they have fond memories of our time together, never stop riding and pay it forward when they are in a position to coach.
