9/6 race recap with Mid-Am Racing Series at Wi******er Speedway

Started the day with practice and the car felt great and we were sitting p5 on time and felt we had a great car for the feature. Went out for second practice just to get some more laps and get more comfortable with the track and at the end of practice we were p7 out of 21 cars from practice.
Qualifying went out and just wasn’t able to get the lap we were capable of but still ended up with a respectable p11 out of 21 cars.
Feature came around and we were starting p11 with a 10 car invert the car took a while to really take off and felt better every lap then about halfway through the 40 lap feature a car drove right through into our quarter and up over the hood of the car but luckily we were able to not get into the wall to hard and keep going. Then 2 laps later went to pass the same car that drove through us previously and he ran us all the way to the infield and across our nose again so fell off pace again but kept racing. Then unfortunately our night ended after a few more laps when the left rear tire went down from the incident in the beginning and we went spinning sliding down the front stretch and hit hard in the drivers side door which caused a good bit of damage to the front suspension components. So we were unable to finish the race.

Well Wi******er did not go our way got ran through by a car then after another 5 laps or so left rear tire went down and went sliding down the front stretch and hit hard in the drivers side door.

It’s race day here at Wi******er Speedway for the world stock car festival! Qualifying starts at 5:25 and racing at 7:00 (EST). Gonna be an awesome night of racing so if you can’t make the trip be sure to tune in on racingamerica.tv to watch all the great racing live!

Solid day of testing here at Wi******er Speedway with the Mid-Am Racing Series. We were able to pick up a lot of speed through the day and were sitting around 9th on some used up tires. We’ll be back at it tomorrow for the World stock car festival here at Wi******er to chase a win!

Unfortunately yet again due to Mother Nature we will not be racing this weekend.

After waiting as long as we possibly could for the forecast to change, we've once again made the difficult decision to cancel/postpone this weekends racing programs. We talked with everyone involved on the racing side of things and between the significant rainfall we've received this week and the additional rain expected we have no other choice but to cancel. With so many people in the area still dealing with flooding, storm damage and some still without power we wanted to make the decision as early as possible. Plus factoring in that a majority of the Midwest Truck Series and Mid-Am Racing Series teams come from out of state, we didn't want to delay a decision that was pretty much inevitable.

The Cheryl Hryn Back to School backpack giveaway will still be taking place at the track Friday from 5pm to 7:30pm in the commercial building. Kids (Pre-K - High School) must be present to get a backpack and it's first come, first serve until they run out.

The Five-O Racing Benefiting Special Olympics event will now take place on Saturday October 10th. Also on the 10th will be the Figure 8 Trailer Race of Destruction along with special non point events for the Pure Stocks, Crown Vics & one other class. Stay tuned for more info.

The Midwest Truck Series and Mid-Am Racing Series were not able to reschedule, so both races will be canceled. We hope to have the Midwest Truck Series back in 2027. The Mid-Am Racing Series has a 2nd scheduled race here and will be in action during the Bettenhausen Memorial weekend on September 19th.

PS #1 - VRS moving to 8/21 as part of double feature program
PS #2 - Moving to 9/4 as part of double feature program
SS - Moving to 8/28 as part of double feature program
CV - Moving to 9/18 as part of double feature program
SC - Moving to 8/21 as part of double feature program

In the next 48 hours, people who got tickets through the Ticket Hoss app should see their tickets transferred to the new date. If you can't make that date, you can request a refund through the app.

Unfortunately tonight’s race at Slinger Super Speedway with the Mid-Am Racing Series has been postponed due to the forecasted weather throughout the night.

POSTPONED!!

Tonights kids night and return of the MidAm series is postponed. Looking at weather for the day and chances of storms midday along with chances of another round tonight we have made the decision to postpone as a lot of teams are traveling 3 hours or more to race tonight. Kids Night along with the MidAms however will be rescheduled and will now be on Sunday afternoon September 13th part of our last Sunday race of the year!
