5/2 Race recap
Let's start with qualifying. I ran a really good 2nd lap, and I botched the money lap, so we had to settle with 11th out of 20 cars.
The heat race, I started 3rd, and the front row ran side by side the entire 8 laps, which led me to finish 3rd. We still were a little tight, so after a meeting with some of my crew and Dave Trute, we made some big swings going into the feature.
In the feature, we started 11th. We were rolling on the bottom just a handful of laps in when I got involved in a racing incident with me and another driver going for the same spot. I had to pull off because the nose and fender were folded into the right front tire. When I got off the track, multiple people were there to help, including Chris Schulenberg and Aj Powers. They got me back out as the field took the green. I got a lucky caution with around 25 to go. I restarted 19th and drove up to finish 11th. It wasn't the finish we wanted, but we had decent pace and learned a lot for next time. I've got to thank my crew, sponsors, and fans for everything they do for me.
