π Multiple Players Team Up To Lead Fort Chiswell Middle School Pioneers Past Giles County
Miles Musser scored 18 points and Tayden Taylor had a big game as Fort Chiswell Middle School Pioneers defeated Giles, 56-38, on Thursday. Tayden scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
Miles Musser scored 18 points to lead the Pioneers.
Leading 11-5, Fort Chiswell went on a 16-point run to pull further away. The Pioneers had a strong first half, leading 35-20 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory.
Fort Chiswell found their groove in the first quarter, outscoring Giles 29-7. The team shot 13-18 in the quarter.
The Pioneers scored at will in the paint. They went 23-34 on twos. Shot well from distance, going 3-7 from three. The Pioneers controlled the paint, grabbing 39 rebounds. Tayden Taylor led the team with 13 rebounds. Cruz Skinner knocked down two shots from beyond the arc for Fort Chiswell. They passed the ball well with 22 assists on 26 made baskets. Cruz led the team with seven assists. Fort Chiswell Pioneers stood tall, blocking four shots in the game. Bryton Viars led the team with three blocks. Additional scorers for the Fort Chiswell Middle School Pioneers included Tayden Taylor (12 points), Angler Dunford (10 points), Cruz Skinner (8 points), Grant Viars (4 points), Coleman Kirby (2 points), and Bryton Viars (2 points).
