Bunker Hill, Il. – Brittany Shooting Complex
The Lakers competed in Event 2, 100 singles at the Illini Pow Wow ATA Competition to start the season at Brittany Shooting Complex where later this year they will revisit for the Fall Multi-State ATA competition and USA College Clay Target League Nationals Event.

Leading the team today was a couple of newcomers leading the way Mitchell Kelvie freshman shot a 98 to be tied for 7th in the overall out for 109 competitors. Joining him at the top of the team standings was freshman Bryer Jansen with a 97 to be tied for 14th in the overall standings. They were followed by 4 athletes Gage Hart, Taylar Mercer, Donna Davlantis, and Jackson Cook hitting 94 targets with Gage Hart finishing strong with a 50 straight to end the round.

Other notable accomplishments of the day as 4 Lakers competed in Event 1 Doubles and 2 competed in Event 3 Handicaps. Collin Hewing won 1st place in the Event 1 Doubles event shooting a 96 and Gage Hart placed 2nd in Event 3 Handicaps with a 95.
The Lakers will start their USA College Clay Target League with Reserve Scores on September 14th at Effingham Sportsman’s Club.
