Meet MAYA 🌝✨🦎🕉️
Teaching Sundays in Mattituck
8:30-9:30 am

In 2020, I moved to the North Fork from Manhattan during a time when the world felt full of uncertainty. After leaving the fast-paced and demanding hospitality world as a sommelier at three-Michelin Le Bernardin for a sales position, where inconsistency quickly became the only constant, anxiety slowly began to creep into my life. That’s when Yoga Folk came into my life, and my daily practice helped me find balance and ease.

What started as a way to help manage that anxiety quickly became so much more. Through yoga, I found grounding, peace, and a beautiful, supportive community that I deeply cherish. My growing love for the practice and curiosity about the philosophy of yoga inspired me to continue learning and eventually embark on my teacher training journey with Alwaysat Aum. I am now a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and look forward to continuing to grow, learn, and share this practice wherever the journey takes me.

When I’m not on my mat, I’m usually slinging wine bottles across the East End or spending time with my dogs.
