Featured Product of the Week: Artisan Sketched Garden DSP (167752)

For today’s card, I pulled in another color I don’t use very often: Lemon Lime Twist. Paired with black and white, it creates such a fun, fresh look!

I used two different DSP patterns for the background and layered one of the scalloped shapes from the Scalloped Blooms Dies to showcase two more fussy-cut vases.

The “Thinking of You” sentiment from the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set was heat embossed in white for extra contrast. Did you notice the decorative edge on the striped paper? That detail was created with one of the borders from the Bordered in Beauty Dies, which are quickly becoming one of my favorite tools for adding a little something, something to any project.
Instead of Watercolor Pencils, I colored these vases with Stampin’ Blends markers for a bolder, more vibrant look.

Featured Product of the Week: Artisan Sketched Garden DSP (167752)

A color I don’t reach for often—but knew would look amazing with this black-and-white paper—is Lemon Lolly.

How pretty is this anniversary card?

I grounded the design with the black-and-white polka dot pattern, then layered a piece of Basic White cardstock embossed with the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder on top. A simple ¼-inch strip of Lemon Lolly cardstock separates the two layers.

For the focal point, I colored one of the large floral images from the DSP using Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens again. While I designed this as an anniversary card, it would work great for almost any occasion.

Featured Product of the Week: Artisan Sketched Garden DSP (167752)

Today’s card is all about simplicity, with Hydrangea Hue serving as the perfect complementary color.

I chose one of the smaller-scale DSP patterns for the background and grounded my fussy-cut vase with two Everyday Arches Dies. The arches also provide the perfect spot for the sentiment from the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set.

Simple designs like this are a wonderful reminder that beautiful cards don’t need a lot to make a statement.

Featured Product of the Week: Artisan Sketched Garden DSP (167752)

What says “I love you” more than a bold red paired with black and white?

I embossed the Real Red background using the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder, then layered three different DSP patterns behind the focal image—another vase fussy cut from the paper pack.

The vase is mounted on two circles from the Spotlight on Nature Dies, while the sentiment from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set was heat embossed in white on black cardstock for a striking contrast that really pops.

Featured Product of the Week: Artisan Sketched Garden DSP (167752)

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that whenever Stampin’ Up! releases a black-and-white Designer Series Paper pack, it’s almost guaranteed to find its way into my craft room. I actually preordered the Artisan Sketched Garden DSP from the current catalog back in April, so the real question is: why did it take me so long to play with this gorgeous paper?

For today’s card, I fussy cut three of the small vases from one of the designs and colored one using Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens—an old technique that’s always worth revisiting, especially when the paper is perfect for it like this one.

I paired the focal image with last month’s Product of the Month, the Eyelet Blooms Dies, to create the delicate lace background. I used Bubble Bath as my complementary color today, but you could easily swap in your favorite color since everything goes with black and white. The sentiment comes from this month’s Product of the Month, the Wild Bunch Stamp Set.

Featured Product of the Week: Velvet Meadow Suite (167917)

We’re wrapping up the week with another card filled with heartfelt thoughts, prayers, and love.

Using the same soft color palette as yesterday’s card, I added a unique twist by creating a folded arch card with the Everyday Arches Dies. The secret is simple: position the die so that the cutting edge extends beyond one side of the folded cardstock. This leaves part of the fold intact and creates the shaped card base.

A few simple layers, a meaningful sentiment, and the beautiful die-cut flowers from the Velvet Meadow Suite are all it takes to create a card that feels both elegant and special.

It’s always fun to find new ways to use our dies beyond their intended purpose!

Featured Product of the Week: Velvet Meadow Suite (167917)

The cool, soft colors on today’s card make it one of my favorites from this week’s collection.

This is another fairly simple design, allowing the heartfelt sentiment to take center stage. A few die-cut floral accents from the suite frame the sentiment beautifully and add just the right touch of elegance without overwhelming the design.

Sympathy cards are never cards we enjoy needing, but they are often among the most meaningful cards we send. Sometimes a simple, thoughtful design says exactly what words alone cannot.

I love how this card balances beauty, softness, and sincerity.

Featured Product of the Week: Velvet Meadow Suite (167917)

Today’s card is a little more involved than the first two projects this week, but still comes together beautifully.
I started with the Eyelet Blooms background die, which was my Product of the Month last month. To add some contrast, I layered a strip of another Velvet Meadow DSP design down the left side of the card and separated the two sections with Barely Blush Bordered Ribbon. While Barely Blush isn’t one of the suite’s coordinating colors, I love how softly it complements the florals.

For the focal point, I used one of the stitched scallop dies from the Scallop Blooms Dies as a foundation for a floral arrangement created with both stamped images and die cuts from the suite. The sentiment was added to one of the smaller circles from the Spotlight on Nature Dies, tying everything together.

This card is a great example of how a few extra layers and textures can add depth while still letting the beautiful florals shine.

Featured Product of the Week: Velvet Meadow Suite (167917)

Today I’m showcasing another design from the Velvet Meadow DSP that easily stands on its own as the star of the card.

I forgot to mention yesterday that this is actually Specialty DSP, meaning portions of the floral designs have a soft velvet texture—hence the name Velvet Meadow! It’s one of those papers that’s even more beautiful in person.

For today’s stepped-up version, I kept things simple by adding one of the Spotlight on Nature circle dies to help ground the floral focal image. Instead of heat embossing the sentiment, I stamped it directly onto the DSP.
One of the things I love most about this paper is how versatile it is. You can create a quick and simple card or add a few extra details for a more layered design, and both versions are equally beautiful.

Tell me—which do you prefer? Clean and simple cards, or projects with a few extra layers and details? The best part is there’s no wrong answer!
