It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved coach, Eddie Sorge. He was a better coach than he’d ever give himself credit for. It was an honor to know you and coach alongside you. You will forever be missed. 💔

Tonight’s 1st annual Cops vs Coaches event successfully united the community in a fun-filled afternoon, and collected a substantial amount of food and gift card donations for the Matawan United Methodist Church food pantry. A big thank you to the Aberdeen Township Policemen’s Benevolent Association, Local 163 and our coaches for coming out and participating. Last but not least, thank you to MRHS Lady Huskies Coach Suckow for volunteering your time and refereeing the game. We look forward to making this a yearly event.

I hope you are all excited for the upcoming Cops versus Coaches game on the 24th but that’s not all we have planned. On January 31st Coach Krissy Suckow and the Matawan High School Girls Basketball Team will be holding a fundraising clinic. 100% of the proceeds will support the MRHS Girls Basketball booster club.

It will run in 2 sessions at the Matawan High School gym. Grades 5-8 will have their clinic from 12pm-1pm. Grades 2-4 will have their clinic from 1:15-2:15pm (don't worry Kindergarten and 1st grade, we have something brewing for you at a later date).

🗓️Mark your calendars!!! Our coaches are set to compete against Aberdeen's finest in a fun basketball game, with the added goal of collecting non-perishable food items and gift cards for the Matawan United Methodist Church food pantry, to which all spectators are kindly asked to contribute.

Good Morning. We have seen the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District’s notification suspending all non-district activities due to a vandalism incident. The league has made notification to our coaches. AMYAA has already reached out to the district to learn how we can help expedite a safe return to normal facility use. We hope to have more information shortly and will update the league as soon as we do.
