North Georgia Speedway Next For Schaffer Oil by Mike Bruner Topless Outlaws - Saturday, September 19th

Maryville, Tenn. (Sept. 15th 2026) North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA is set to host the Schaeffer's Oil by Mike Bruner Topless Outlaws Dirt Late Model Series on Saturday September 19th, for a $4,000 to win, 40-lap main event.

It will be the second visit by the series in 2026 and will mark the series seventh overall visit to the 1/3-mile, high banked, red clay oval situated in north eastern Georgia. Many drivers from throughout the region are expected.

Layne Clifton of Seymour, Tenn. won the season opener among 37 entrants back on April 4th. David Payne of Murphy, NC won the 2025 series finale at North Georgia in October of 2025. Kyle Courtney of Knoxville, Tenn. topped 50 entrants during the 2025 season opener in April of 2025.

The Series Format will consist of: Will Kinzer Foundation Hot Laps - Clifton Construction, LLC Time Trials / Shortys Motorsport Group A and Hoosier Tire South Dirt Oval Group B - CV Racing Parts Heat Races - American Racer Tires and Fullmoon Graphics last chance qualifiers.

Series Awards: $100 Spring Pro Smash the Clock Award for fastest in Hot Laps - $100 Fast Qualifier Award from Extreme Towing and Recovery / Calvin Pike of LaGrange, GA - The 22-Speed Shop / Mike Weeks $100 Hard Charger Award will go to the driver advancing the most positions in the feature. Warsh Day Hard Luck Award with a 5-gallon bucket of their new advanced car wash - Will Kinzer Foundation $100 Donnie Carroll Crew Chief of the Race Award - Race City Performance/Don Blackshear $100 bonus to the highest finishing driver running the CT525 engine.

North Georgia Speedway Next For Schaffer Oil Topless Outlaws - Saturday, September 19th

Maryville, Tenn. (Sept. 15th 2026) North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA is set to host the Schaffer Oil by Mike Bruner Jr. Topless Outlaws Dirt Late Model Series on Saturday September 19th, for a $4,000 to win, 40-lap main event.

Tucker Anderson of Blairsville, GA notched his first ever touring series feature win in August, 2024, becoming the youngest driver (at the time) to capture a feature win on the Topless Outlaw tour at the age of 17. Blake Craft of Canon, GA won in June of 2024 while Corey Hedgecock of Loudon, Tenn. won the series first visit to North Georgia on May 18th, 2019.

Kid Quick Claims Inaugural Roger Kerr Memorial at Smoky Mountain Speedway

Maryville, TN (9-5-26) Kyle Courtney of Knoxville, TN led green flag to checker in the 40-lap, $4,000 to win Roger Kerr Memorial at Smoky Mountain Speedway.

The caution filled, attrition winning affair saw 6 Schaffer Oil caution flags wave and only 13 of the original 24 starters finished the race.

Courtney started from the front row outside after claiming the win in CV Racing Parts Heat #3 and with track conditions very fast, as mother nature dropped a ton of water on the track in the early afternoon hours, it took track officials until nearly 8pm to start hot laps but the track was very fast all night.

Jenson Ford of Johnson City, TN was the pole starter after he won CV Racing Parts Heat #1. Cody Courtney, younger brother to Kyle, won Heat #2 while Jason Manley of Loudon, TN claimed the 4th heat.

Ford and Manley swapped 2nd place multiple times in the feature and were able to hang with Kyle Courtney for the first 10 laps or so but Courtney would pull away down the stretch and win by a margin of 3.411 seconds over Manley. Ford finished 3rd.

Series point leader Austin Horton of Whitesburg, GA finished 4th after starting 7th and Chase King of Seymour, TN rounded out the top 5 after he started 11th.

The first caution flew on lap 8 for Hunter Jenkins of Sweetwater, TN when he stopped on the high side of turn 4.

Yellow waved again on the restart of lap 8 for Noah Phillips of Sevierville, TN who suffered significant left side body damage after shredding a left rear tire.

A lap 12 caution flew for Layne Clifton of Seymour, TN, who was second in Topless point standings heading into Smoky Mountain Speedway, for mechanical failure for the second week in a row.

Caution #4 waved on lap 12 again for overall fastest qualifier (14.171) Hayden Ownbey of Cleveland, TN after he slipped over the turn 3 cushion, causing a right front flat. He retired at that point.

A tangle between Cody Courtney and John Ownbey of Cleveland, TN in turn 1 after the two had a heated battle for 5th brought out caution #5. Both cars retired.

The sixth and final caution waved on lap 31 for a dustup between Jason Croft of Woodstock, GA and Rusty Ballenger of Seymour, TN. Ballenger backed into the front stretch wall, but Croft was awarded the caution and he retired from the event at this point while Ballenger continued on and finished 9th.

"Man, this is our fourth race out in this thing (Savage Chassis) and it has been bad to the bone since day one. We built these cars in six days and I wouldn't be able to do this if it wasn't for my dad and my brother Blake, Billy Joe, Ashton, my fiance Haley and Jason Welshan at Competition Racing Equipment and Savage Chassis, who built one bad piece and is a hell of a car builder" stated a very excited Kyle Courtney form VP Racing Fuels Victory Lane.
