Felt good to be back at Florence speedway this past Saturday!

Not too much to talk about, I’ve been having problems with the car for a few weeks now on takeoff, going to take it to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully get everything lined out before our next race on the 19th.

🏁 BROWNSTOWN SPEEDWAY RECAP 🏁

This past Saturday, we made our first trip of the year to Brownstown Speedway and despite another dose of bad luck, we showed just how much speed this car has.

Hot laps went great, and we felt like we stacked up well against the strong field of cars on hand.

We rolled off 8th in Heat 1 and quickly charged our way up to 4th. We needed a 4th-place finish or better to transfer directly to the A Feature.

Then came the caution… and on the restart, we got collected with another car, sending us to the rear and leaving us with a last-place finish in the heat.

That put us 3rd in the B Feature, where we knew we had one job: finish in the top two.

We got it done.
P2 in the B Feature → A Feature transfer

Starting 18th in the A Feature, we went to work early and started picking cars off, working the berm and making our way through the field.

🏁 18th → 9th
⏱️ 5th fastest time overall

Not the finish we know this car is capable of, but another night showing that we have a winning car. Unfortunately, the bad luck streak continues to follow us around.

We’re bringing a fast car to the track every week. Now we just need a little luck to finally go our way.

Update: spent Friday night and Saturday afternoon fixing the car. I can’t thank Jason Sohk and Chad Sohl enough for helping me get the car fixed! Was able to get it ready around 5 PM on Saturday. Saw our home track Sportsdrome was still running despite all the rain that we got, decided to load the car up and head there to see if we got all our problems fixed.

Arrived late and missed practice, they canceled the heat races due to the weather so we were going into our feature completely blind. Rolled off P20 and managed to bring it home in 4th.

Overall a good night and the car seems to be fixed and ready for our next race on August 29th at Florence Speedway!

Race recap:

Started our day out with the car being sluggish on the start and restarts in qualifying and heat race. Was still able to finish 2nd in the heat which put us starting 4th on the feature. Fixed the sluggish problem for the feature and immediately had another problem. Car was extremely loose at the start of the race, about 10 laps in the power steering went out which made the car 10x more difficult to drive. Come to find out the rack in the car went bad, managed to salvage a 7th place finish.

We cannot catch a break this year but there’s no quit in us. We’ll regroup and come back in a month to try again. I cannot thank our marketing partners and supporters enough for everything they do!

Last two races at Florence have been a wild adventure for us. So many ups and downs but thankfully the ups have outweighed the downs. There’s no quit in this team and the results show just that!

The last two races we’ve had to start in the back due to some unfortunate circumstances but we stayed focused and managed to scrape some decent finishes. 16th-4th a few weeks ago and this past Saturday 18th-3rd. Although it’s a blast driving through the field, we do not want to be in that position for Saturday. This Saturday is the big one, $1,000 to win. If we can stay out of trouble I believe our team will have a good shot at it!

Hey everyone!

We wanted to share a quick schedule update. We don’t have any racing plans for this weekend, and that’s intentional. After going through the car following last week’s race and the issues we battled at Florence, we’re taking the weekend to get everything back in top shape and ready for the rest of the season.

With four races remaining at Florence Speedway, we’re currently sitting 3rd in the championship points, and we’re focused on finishing the season strong.

Recap of this past Thursday at Florence Speedway.

Started the day off with many issues, qualifying didn’t go our way and was 10th quick. Put us starting 5th in the heat and once again had problems. Relay for the fan decided to burn up which caused us to overheat. Before the feature we had to direct wire the fan to the alternator in order to make it. Really didn’t know if it was gonna hold up or not but decided to just send it. Started 14th in the feature and made it all the way to 4th in just 15 laps!

With all our troubles throughout the night we’d happily take a 4th place finish. Gotta thank everyone who came to help and supported us. Also gotta say a huge thank you to our marketing partners. We have this week off as of now, going to take that time to fix the car and make sure it’s ready for our next appearance at Florence.
