Last night we submitted Ava May’s picture for the CureFest Wall. 💛🎗️
Last year, her picture was displayed as a Warrior—a young girl who faced childhood cancer with incredible courage, faith, and a smile that inspired so many.
This year, her picture will be displayed as an Angel.
Those words are still so hard to write.
It’s been almost six months since Ava May went home to be with Jesus, and some days the pain feels just as fresh as it did the day we said goodbye. Grief has a way of reminding you just how deeply you loved.
We miss everything about her—her smile, her laugh, her hugs, and the joy she brought into our lives. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t wish she were still here with us.
But even in the heartbreak, we have hope.
Because of Jesus, we know death is not the end of Ava May’s story. We are so thankful for the promise that one day we will be reunited with her in heaven, where cancer can never touch her again, where there are no more tears, no more pain, and no more goodbyes.
Until that beautiful day, we will continue to honor her legacy, advocate for children battling cancer, and love others the way she so naturally did.
Our Warrior became our Angel… but she will forever be our little girl.
We love you endlessly, Ava May. Until we meet again. 💛
