Pacific Crest Trail 2025
October 15-18
Harts Pass to Canadian border and back
Including Pasayten Wilderness and some of the North Cascades
Here are pictures from the final section of our PCT hike.
We believe we were almost certainly the very last northbound thru-hikers to reach the Canadian border of the season, as the trail already had some deep snow on the high passes, and only a bit more snow would make some of the mountain side traverses unsafe without alpine equipment.
Another snow storm hit before we even got back to Harts Pass and it continued to drop significant snowfall over the next few days, and highway 20 was even closed for a period several weeks later.
It was such a special feeling to get to be some of the few to experience this section of trail with the golden Larch trees and the new snow blanketing some of the most rugged and beautiful mountains of the entire trail.
Thank you to everyone who has offered encouragement and assistance along the way, I wish I could thank you all individually, this trail can not be done without you.
Life post trail feels so hard now and I miss the simplicity and the rewards of this adventure, but I am already dreaming and sceming of ways to get back on trail, perhaps another thru-hike? Maybe the Continental Divide Trail or the Appalachian Trail in 2026 or 2027 or both?

PS: please let me know if there is anything you'd like to see from me in the future, or ideas for making content that is easier or more informative to follow along with. Video updates? Long form YouTube? Simply keeping up on pictures within days of taking them instead of a month or so later? (Hey, there isn't cell signal on much of the trail, and town days are busy!)
