We hit Bohmers Rt66 Speedway on Friday night for the Bohm Memorial race. 24 entries in the Clone 360 class. Blaise finished 2nd in his groups first heat, and 3rd in the second heat. That locked him into the feature with an 8th place starting spot.

Unfortunately we had a mechanical failure before Blaise took the green flag in the feature. Bummer, but 💩 happens. Next up Fairbury Speedway 🏁

We're back!

HUGE thank you to everybody that has helped Blaise get back on track. People we don't know reaching out from as far away as Minnesota and Ohio to offer funds to get him going again. Kart shops offering to sell at reduced prices or at their cost just to make sure he can keep doing what he loves. The racing family truly is the greatest and we will never forget any of you!

Friday night couldn't have went better. Blaise was on point and took his Barnes Power Plants/Laukaitis Racing prepared kart and drove off from the field to get the feature win 🏁

Saturday night was the opposite. We fell behind due to some on track incidents and really just didn't have the kart good enough to get him to the front. He ended up 5th in the feature.

Back at the track with friends for the first time since Blaise's wreck. Thank you to the Stevenfield family for giving Blaise a last minute ride for the feature. Looking forward to getting back into action with our new kart next weekend 🏁

A day at the races we will try to forget. The excitement of running the big Spoon River Speedway and the 60 plus mph speeds bit us. Blaise was running in the top 10 when he was pushed up into the marbles and backed it into the concrete wall at nearly full speed. Somehow, someway, other than a concussion, he walked away with plenty of pain but only minor bumps and bruises. He was knocked out and remembers none of it, and as a racer that's probably best. The kart is destroyed, his helmet took a hit to the concrete wall, but he lives to race another day.

Thank you to the track staff, fellow racers and friends who stopped by, called or have sent messages to check on him. 🏁

Blaise's first outdoor race of the season took us to Bohmers Rt66 Speedway in Pontiac last night. 16 drivers entered for $500 to win. Blaise won his first heat race and finished 3rd in his second heat. Started 5th in the feature, ran 4th for a while and finished in 5th place 🏁

Rolling home from Duquoin. Another good day of racing. Started 13th in Clone Heavy and ran all the way up to 4th before losing a few spots and ending the day in 6th place.

Felt good to run up towards the front of the pack both days. Just need to figure out how to do it from better starting spots than 13th and 15th 🤔

What a day in Duquoin. Couldn't get much going in the heat races but Blaise was up on the wheel in the features. 20 karts in each of his classes.

Started 15th in Clone Heavy and drove it to 3rd place.

Started 8th in Clone Medium and finished 4th.

We will take that against some serious competition and give it a shot again tomorrow!

Good day of racing at Spoon River Speedway. Started the day as fast qualifier. Struggled in the heat race. Started 5th in the feature and brought home a 2nd place finish 🏁
