A day at the races we will try to forget. The excitement of running the big Spoon River Speedway and the 60 plus mph speeds bit us. Blaise was running in the top 10 when he was pushed up into the marbles and backed it into the concrete wall at nearly full speed. Somehow, someway, other than a concussion, he walked away with plenty of pain but only minor bumps and bruises. He was knocked out and remembers none of it, and as a racer that's probably best. The kart is destroyed, his helmet took a hit to the concrete wall, but he lives to race another day.

Thank you to the track staff, fellow racers and friends who stopped by, called or have sent messages to check on him. 🏁

Blaise's first outdoor race of the season took us to Bohmers Rt66 Speedway in Pontiac last night. 16 drivers entered for $500 to win. Blaise won his first heat race and finished 3rd in his second heat. Started 5th in the feature, ran 4th for a while and finished in 5th place 🏁

Rolling home from Duquoin. Another good day of racing. Started 13th in Clone Heavy and ran all the way up to 4th before losing a few spots and ending the day in 6th place.

Felt good to run up towards the front of the pack both days. Just need to figure out how to do it from better starting spots than 13th and 15th 🤔

What a day in Duquoin. Couldn't get much going in the heat races but Blaise was up on the wheel in the features. 20 karts in each of his classes.

Started 15th in Clone Heavy and drove it to 3rd place.

Started 8th in Clone Medium and finished 4th.

We will take that against some serious competition and give it a shot again tomorrow!

Good day of racing at Spoon River Speedway. Started the day as fast qualifier. Struggled in the heat race. Started 5th in the feature and brought home a 2nd place finish 🏁

Day 2 of our Illinois race weekend. We are all running on a few hours of sleep but are ready to roll at Exit 7 Motorsports Park. Going to see how close we can get to a $1000 payday.

Good night of racing last night in Pontiac. Blaise ran both Clone 360 and Pro Clone. Ended the night with a 2nd place feature finish and a 3rd place feature finish.

Friday night under the lights in Pontiac. Got behind things after a rough first heat that put us starting 5th in the feature. Blaise worked his way to 2nd at one point but ultimately ended up 3rd against a pretty tough field🏁

2nd best out of a 10 kart field today at Spoon River Speedway. Felt pretty decent for our first visit there. Hope to be one spot better next weekend!
