Sending our thoughts and prayers to the Townsend and Newberry families, as they mourn the loss of such a beautiful young woman. Calli was an amazing writer, and person and losing her will be felt throughout the Blue Water Area. She will be missed by so many.

Croswell native and beloved local sports journalist Calli Newberry died on Tuesday. She was 24.

So happy for MC Softball senior catcher Ainsley Colman on signing her NLI today, to continue her academic and athletic career at Lawrence Tech University. We are very excited to watch you play at the college level.

Varsity softball dropped to 1-5 today, losing to Warren Cousino, 23-20. The worst conditions that I’ve ever been a part of for a softball game. These kids never let up, in fact they fought hard to the end. Hustle and Heart, these kids have it. Long term goals, taking our challenges head on, and improving daily.
