Welcome to Day 9. The weather the last couple of days has been interesting to say the least. Trying desperately to run away from big luls and keep the boat moving toward our goal has been challenging. The evenings have been a bit spicey with rapidly changing conditions, making for multiple sail changes. Finally last night was nearly perfect. A bright moon guided our way and the sea state pushed us along at a great pace.

Tragedy on the high seas today. We lost a valued team member this morning - Bob, the Gennaker. He gave it all he could and made a valiant effort. Bob, you chose an epic race to go out on and we will miss you. RIP buddy.
