Keep Margate Green

Keep Margate Green Help support KEEP MARGATE GREEN! Soon after, more residents joined in to maintain the green space of the Margate Executive Golf Course.

KEEP MARGATE GREEN

“Keep Margate Green” is a phrase coined in 2018 by one of our Margate residents, for keeping the Carolina Golf Club Course green space. Although both are closed today, we do NOT want to see Margate's green space redeveloped into townhomes! The land was intended for homeowners who currently surround the golf course to have green space. This can be seen in the 1989 Margate Compre

hensive Plan (Element IV Sect. II) as well as the 2020 (Element I) Future Land Use, Inventory & Analysis done by the City of Margate. Results pertaining to land use were to maintain and preserve green space.

🚨 BREAKING: PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY & LEGAL ACCOUNTABILITY DEMANDED
Margate residents, I need your support.
I have formally submitted a comprehensive, fact-based document to the Margate City Commission and the City Clerk, compelling them to address the undeniable contamination at the former Carolina Golf Course before the 11/25 meeting.
We are shifting the fight: This is no longer just about rezoning. It's about safety. The writing is on the wall, and the second vote is June 17, 2026, 5 months before we vote for 2 Commissioners. One who has time out, and one who has betrayed many Margate residents in many ways.
I am demanding answers to three non-negotiable questions:
1. The Law: The status of the 2008 Restrictive Covenant that legally bars development.
2. The Standard: How the developer will prove the soil meets the state-mandated $2.1mg/kg arsenic cleanup standard (The legal limit for safe residential dirt/soil).
3. The Danger: A guaranteed Air Monitoring Plan to protect existing neighbors from toxic dust during construction.
The Vice Mayor/Potential Mayor may try to silence me at the podium, but he cannot silence the official public record. I will use every resource—and every legal standard—to protect our community.
P.S. To the person who is not my opponent, so why does he keep focusing on petty personal attacks on me?
I am using every resource—including advanced research tools—to ensure my questions are based on verified state law and environmental standards, not political mudslinging.
My focus is on the health of our residents; yours is on personal insults.

Formal submission is here https://www.canva.com/design/DAG5WwvArn8/V7Nynj39u8tfoZiqcPlloQ/view?utm_content=DAG5WwvArn8&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=uniquelinks&utlId=he3aa853133
