Just a reminder that the banquet is tomorrow night at 6 pm in the high school cafeteria. Coaches will supply the pizzas for everyone.
Seniors - please bring plates, silverware, cups
Juniors - please bring a drink for everyone (water, gatorade, pop)
Sophomores/Freshman - please bring a desert for everyone

Tough night for the tigers last night, we lost to a very good Calamus-Wheatland team in the 2nd round of districts. Having said that, these guys have a lot to be proud of. At one point this season, we were 3-8. Instead of throwing in the towel they chose to keep fighting. We won 9 of our last 12 and ended the season at 12-11. Couldn’t be more proud of them.

Our shoutout is our seniors. Owen Ary, Ashton Mattison, Dallas Sherman, Noah Etzel, and Ogden Truempler. You guys have gave your all this season and set the standard for what Iowa Valley is becoming. We can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for this program.

Back to back winning seasons with a lot coming back! A lot to build on and improve. Thank you to everyone from the parents, table workers, officials, our bus driver Carrie, the cheerleaders, the coaches, and the players. This is a year I will never forget. Go tigers!!

Tiger fans - there may be a possibility tomorrow’s 2nd round district game @ Calamus-Wheatland gets moved up due to weather. We are waiting to see what they want to do and I will update you guys as soon as I know.

I… yeah! I’m still speechless. What a game!!! The tigers pull off the win in overtime last night 65-63 over English Valleys.

Overcoming multiple deficits in the second half along with some poor rebounding and rough night from the free throw line… I couldn’t be more proud of the guys. This is our first postseason win since the 21-22 season. Survive and advance!!!

Cole Long led us in scoring with 26. Following him was Chandler McKibben and Zavier Pedersen with 12 a piece. To round out the scoring, Noah Etzel finished with 9, Layne Peska with 4 and Owen Ary with 2.

Speaking of Zavier, he probably had the shot of the night, draining a 3 as time expired to send the game to overtime. We gained the momentum back and pulled out the win!!!!

We will travel to Calamus-Wheatland Thursday night! Tip off is at 7 pm!!!

We finished up our regular season last night. Took a loss to a very good Lynnville-Sully team 55-47 in Sully. They may very well be representing our conference at Wells Fargo this year.

Our leading scorer last night was Cole Long with 20 points. Following him was Owen Ary with 10, Noah Etzel with 5, and Zavier Pedersen, Layne Peska, and Chandler McKibben each having 4.

We open up the post season next Monday at home against English Valleys. If we win, we will be going to either Calamus-Wheatland or at home against Belle Plaine/Lone Tree. But our focus right now is on EV. Everyone is 0-0 at this point and we are peaking at the right time. Couldn’t be prouder of our boys and the battle they showed last night!
