Edgelawn Heavy is an off-season Strength & Conditioning program designed specifically for wrestlers by wrestling coaches. The program incorporates fundamental movement patterns with traditional strength building methods. The conditioning is rooted in activities that mimic competition and will improve capabilities on the Mat. This program focuses effective training with minimal time so athletes can focus on “Sport Specific Training” a.k.a. Wrestling and recovery.

This program is designed for High School Athletes can be incorporated by younger athletes who have weight training experience or College athletes who need a structured program outside of their University training. The program is delivered via the Moose Strong Training APP with coaching cues, videos on exercise technique, a nutrition plan, and daily goals & habits to be best positioned for off-season growth.

FAQ’s:
How many training days are required each week?
- The program is flexible, you can train up to 6 days per week with only this program. Ideally, though this program should be run 2 times per week and be coupled with 2 wrestling practices and a (either) a competition day or 3rd weight training day.

What equipment is needed?
-The program is built for athletes who access to a full gym, it can be scaled for minimalist equipment gyms with a few modifications.

My kid is a wrestler, can I do this program with them?
-Absolutely, as a side benefit the total body training focused on strength and conditioning would be an excellent program for adults to recomp their physique.

The Blue vs. Gold scrimmage was nothing short of exciting! The event was hosted in our wrestling area which gave it a close-knit and exciting feel. The wrestlers battled hard over 6 matches in front of their coaches, families, fellow students, and alumni.

Everyone loves and underdog story and no underdog story is better than rebuilding a program to success. That is our intent this year with the Charger Mat Co. at Aurora Central Catholic HS. All donations are made to support our program are to a recognized non-profit but more importantly the funds help us get much needed items for the team to continue creating the buzz around the Mat!

All funds received will support the Charger Wrestling program in obtaining new gear, updated training equipment, and covering fees and cost for tournaments, developmental opportunities, and camps.
