Alright, sorry I’ve been mia for those who care, I’m working on some stuff behind the scenes that I’m excited to drop soon. For those who don’t care... who asked you anyway!

So I need to give a client shout out to my friend and one of my athletes This guy and his amazing wife started working with me a few months ago and their results have been phenomenal. I give them the blueprint and guide to get the work done but they’re at the gym doing it and I can’t be more proud or honored that they trust me to help them along their paths.
-
With all that in mind Eric had a benchmark setting week, increasing all his lifts by over 140 pounds. This man in a monster and I want to shout him out for his hard work. The first picture is an accurate depiction of how he feels about me after most workouts!
-
If you need help guiding you to success and you’re willing to do the work message me. Let’s get it.

There are two ways to look at the holidays when it comes to food.
-
Option 1: “I hate myself for eating all of this junk; time to purge with excessive exercise and water diets.
-
Option 2: “Im healthy all year, and the holidays should be spent enjoying myself. Calories are also fuel and I just indulged in a lot of excess fuel. Now let’s put that fuel to good use without punishing myself for celebrating the holidays.”
-
I choose option 2 now, but I’ve done my fair share of option 1. It’s easy to fall into a downward health cycle after the holidays but it’s important to take a step back and let yourself live a little. Life is meant to be enjoyed and you deserve to take a few days to do just that.
-
The most important thing to do after the holidays is get back on the horse in a productive and healthy manner and hit the new year running.
-
If you’re struggling and looking for any help in this area I offer in person personal training, online training, mental health coaching and nutrition work! Shoot me a dm and let’s take you on your next step in your fitness journey!

Flight Simulator, Crash and Burn
-
As usual me and doing some deceptively dumb s**t. Double Unders 5-40 adding 5 each set, instead or rest alternate between assault bike and assault treadmill.
-
Not to mention the 8x400 we did before this. As always glad I have a brother to push me when I don’t want to be pushed with the track work, and someone to suffer with with these dumb workouts we do.

Poignant that a day I struggled so heavily with depression this year fell on the national su***de prevention day. I can choose to look at this as a message from someone that this is the pain I fought through, or a reminder that sometimes scars hurt more on certain days. Regardless, su***de is something that is near and dear to my heart for multiple reasons. Having almost lost my dad to it and having attempted meager acts to end my own life, talking about it always hits me in a deep place.

-

To those who are struggling I want you to know you are stronger than you think. Sometimes it seems like leaving this plane of life would be easier then the continuous monotonous struggle to just keep your head above water. I disagree, because even when things are at their darkest there is still light to be found; and love to be held. For all we know we have one trip around this earth; so don’t quit as hard as it gets. So many times just when you think you are losing your hardest battle there is tranquility on the other side, or success... or a moments reprieve that reminds you to keep on keeping on.

-

To those that struggle with depression you are loved, your feelings are valid, and you matter. If you ever need to talk please reach out, because I’d rather hear your story than attend your funeral.

Functional Fitness Friday people! Sorry I’m a little late on this one. This ones courtesy of my boy I did a version of this the day before and we think way too similar because he had programmed a different type of hell for the next day.

Workout:
10 reps of each exercise followed by a 200 meter run, all the way down to 1 of each.
10-1
Burpees
Devil Press
200 meter run

Jackie did it with me and we modified hers slightly with just 10-1 of devil presses with the run. She chose to stand to the side of the camera I swear I didn’t force her out!!

Sometimes you just have to turn the music up, put the weights on, and get the f**k after it.

Here’s a peak into today’s workout;

Deadlifts: 8 sets of 4

Walking Lunges: 4 x 10 into Goodmornings: 4 x 15

Leg extensions: 4 x 20
Into hamstring curls: 4x 20

And then some conditioning 😈

Ready to start training with a purpose and stop spinning your wheels? Shoot me a DM and let’s take you to your next level on your fitness journey.

Motivation Monday, and what better motivation then the reminder that our time here is finite. At some point, today, tomorrow, ten years from now, thirty years from now, you are going to die. Many people look at this idea with fear and sadness. Rather then treating this as a bad thing make this your motivator.

If you were to leave life today, would you be happy with everything you’ve done? Would you be satisfied, or even more importantly, would you be in love, with the legacy you left on earth?

If the answer is no; then reconsider your path. Take time to decide what would put you in the direction you want to be in. I use this idea with coaching, I value health, and mindset more then anything. I want to leave this earth better than I found it and one of the ways I do that is helping the people I work with become better versions of themselves. If there’s anything I can do to help you on this journey please reach out. Remember, you must die... so live.

Functional Fitness Friday, coming at you hot!! I did this bad boy on Tuesday and I was sweating buckets. It’s based off the Metcon Kalsu.

Workout:

With a running clock do as many thrusters as you can (95 pounds for guys/ 65 for ladies)
At the start of every minute do 5 burpees and then 3 jumping lunges on each leg. As soon as you finish go right back into thrusters. Repeat this until you reach 100 thrusters.

This one is an absolute grind. Push yourself, but if you need to rest for a minute after doing the burpees and jumping lunges that’s absolutely no problem. Get after it and let me know how many rounds it takes to get to 100 below! 👇🏻

Nasty little grinder me and got after at last week. He and I both have the same mentality, to keep the demons quiet sometimes you have to push until you feel like breaking, and then push even harder.

Just like when I work with my clients it’s always a pleasure entrusting the workout into someone else’s capable hands so I can just do and not think. Always a pleasure gettin after it with my brother and not having to sit in the drivers seat with programming.

If you’re tired of trying to micromanage your own workouts and spinning your wheels let me help you get out of the mud. We all need some help sometimes! Shoot me a DM and let’s get you to the next step of your fitness journey!
