Arkansas Cross Country State Meet ✅

A field of around 200 High School boys from across the state, including five Lion athletes, raced on the infield of Oaklawn Hot Springs early this afternoon. Times across the board were slightly slower than last year. We did not get the PR’s we hoped for, but all five competed extremely hard.

Eli Hall, with a 19th place finish, secured All-State honors for the 2nd year in a row!! 🏅

Unico Bank Blazer Invitational ✅

It was a fast day of racing at Joe Mack Campbell Park. Nearly all Manila athletes ran their fastest time of the year! It was the the Junior High Girls last race of the season and Connor Orr moved up to the Senior High race in preparation for the State Meet.

Paragould Ram Invitational ✅

In Junior High, Connor Orr placed 65th out of 168 athletes and Anna DeMent placed 33rd out of 160 athletes.

In Senior High, Eli Hall and Ryan DeMent placed 16th and 32nd, respectively, out of 70 athletes.

Runnin’ Scared 5K @ Pumpkin Hollow ✅

We had 6 girls and 2 boys participate in the race last night! For the girls, Milly Whitaker and Lexi Porter came in 2nd and 3rd in their age division. Anna DeMent placed as the 2nd overall female finisher!

For the boys, Connor Orr placed 2nd in his age division and Ryan DeMent was the overall winner with a time of 21:47!

First Cross Country meet of the year! Manila athletes took on the CBC Invitational this afternoon.

Junior High runners Connor Orr and Sam Henry finished 28th and 48th, respectively, out of 81 athletes.

Senior High had a strong showing with two runners in the top 15. Eli Hall, Ryan DeMent, and Ayden Bishop finished 3rd, 13th, and 24th, respectively, out of 41 athletes.

Manila athletes ran in the Cross Country State meet earlier today! There were several new PR’s today that we will take into next season! Times were captured on the screen at the finish line and will be shown below.

Eli Hall finished 19th overall out of 185 total athletes! This is an amazing accomplishment and puts him in the Top 10% of athletes making him All-State in 3A Cross Country! He is the 2nd Lion ever to be named All-State as a Freshman!

Eli Hall and Ryan DeMent were 1st and 10th out of all the Freshmen in 3A.

Our last regular season meet today at Joe Mack Campbell Park! 8th grader Ashton Lambert coming in at 6th! Senior High gearing up for State in a couple weeks.

10/16/2024

We ran around the campus of Greene County Tech High School this afternoon. Freshman Eli placed 2nd by .12 seconds and 8th grader Ashton Lambert placed 4th overall as well.

Ryan DeMent ran his first race in Senior High and made it into the Top Ten. Other Senior High times are steadily improving.
